There are very few good games left for us here ### 5/5 — INCREDIBLE GAME one minor complaint *2025-12-06, version 1.07* So other than one thing it’s all you can ask for from a puzzle game look at other reviews for details but one thing that annoys me is that for specific levels a specific strip of words is just not allowed like I wanted to turn kaka into a key on level 2 in forest of the fall and it just had a red X over it and it wouldn’t let me. and in a game about changing the propriety’s of objects this really bugs me this doesn’t ruin the game but I feel like their has to be could be a better way to do stop a player form doing a certain sentence in a certain level like “baba can’t key” or some word indicating that you can’t do that. Ok coming back to my response a while later some levels do have stuff like “flag is not box” but some levels just don’t have that. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ridiculously Tedious, missing the fun *2026-06-30, version 1.11* In concept, this game looks fun. Iterating through the tedious levels for solution where your step cadence has to be perfect - and all with no built in help system - is … not. Even levels cleared require memory for future concepts, but revisiting them doesn’t help show you your last solution, and having to go to the internet for reminders, tips, and even straight up solutions is demoralizing, not fun. This game could have puzzles with more creativity allowed by the player, maybe with multiple solutions. Instead, every map is just a struggle to find that one twist to solve it as the developer intends - just logic, no fun, no flexibility. ### 1/5 — Progress Reset by “Sync” *2026-01-05* After updating Baba Is You, the new “automatic progress sync” feature caused me to lose my actual progress. The update synced the save data from my old phone (where I had barely played) to my new phone, overwriting my real save file and effectively wiping my progress. There was no clear warning, no choice of which device should be the source of truth, and no recovery option. A sync feature should protect players from data loss, not create it. Until there is a reliable way to select the correct save, resolve conflicts, or restore progress, I can’t recommend updating. **Developer response:** Hi there. Could you try and update to the latest version called 1.10 (v608)? We have added a new backup menu where you can restore savefiles from old backups. I tend to enjoy good puzzles, lover The Room series as well as the DaVinci series. I’m also not someone who gives up too easily on difficult games. Having said that, I suspect most of the official reviews were written by people who never went past the first dozen or so levels. Things get steep very quickly beyond the first 3 locations, to the point where the game simply becomes an exercise in frustration coupled with tremendous guilt for having to search for hints on line over and over. I finally got to get it on my phone and it has been a life changing experience for me! I love the way you get to interact with the rules of the puzzles. It is a great way to challenge your brain and get you thinking hard on the solution, and sometimes, it’s hidden in plain sight! And, (spoilers) I love the fact that the actual map isn’t even the end of it. The map is a sub world of something much bigger, and that is crazy! Best game I’ve ever played. ### 5/5 — (Fixed!) All because I chose to start the game on iPhone and didn’t realize there would be no game save synchronization.
