## What is Babble Diary?

Babble Diary passively listens for your baby's voice and turns the day's vocal activity into clear, evidence-based development insights — without ever uploading audio.

Speech and conversation are the strongest known predictors of early language development. Babble Diary measures the three signals that actually matter — how much your baby vocalizes, how much speech they hear from caregivers nearby, and how often the two of you take real conversational turns — and tracks them quietly in the background.

PRIVACY YOU CAN VERIFY

• All speech detection runs on the device. Audio is never uploaded — not for analytics, not for training, not ever.
• Recordings library: short clips from moments your baby vocalized, stored on your phone only — never synced to our servers.
• What the cloud sees: numerical features and counts you can inspect. You control whether even those sync.
• Per-purpose consent: Cloud Backup, Stories, and the optional Help Improve program are granted separately.
• If you opt in to contribute anonymous learnings, we send only numerical class-probability scores and on-device acoustic features — never raw audio, never your voice — and we verify you're the parent through a Stripe card check ($0.50 charged then refunded), as required by COPPA's Verifiable Parental Consent rules.
• Export everything you've collected as JSON, any time.
• Delete your account and all baby data with one tap. We honor it server-side, not just locally.
