## What is Babelcraft?

Babelcraft is a fast, native flashcard app for learning Spanish, French, Korean, or Japanese — built around FSRS-5, the same modern spaced-repetition algorithm the latest version of Anki ships, so you review each word right before you'd forget it instead of on a fixed schedule.

FOUR LANGUAGES, ONE APP
Switch between Spanish (Mexico), French, Korean, and Japanese from Settings. Each course ships with a deep, hand-authored starter deck — 1,000+ words covering everyday life, travel, food, work, money, tech, health, relationships, and more. Korean and Japanese lead with the writing system itself (Hangul jamo, hiragana, and katakana), and every course covers numbers from one to a million. Spanish leans into real Mexican slang — órale, chido, güey — not just textbook phrases.

SMART, HONEST SCHEDULING
Instead of grading yourself on "how well did I remember," Babelcraft asks a simpler question: when should we show you this word again? Four buttons — Soon, Sooner, Normal, Later — schedule your next review, with the actual interval printed right on the button so you always know what you're choosing. Under the hood it's the same FSRS-5 engine, implemented from scratch, with real learning and relearning steps.

HEAR EVERY WORD
Tap the speaker to hear any word or example sentence spoken aloud in the right voice for your course — Mexican Spanish by default — and answers auto-play as you reveal them.

YOUR PROGRESS, EVERYWHERE
Cards and review history sync across your devices with iCloud, privately, with automatic fallback to a local-only store when iCloud isn't available. Track your progress with a dashboard showing reviews, hit rate, a 7-day review chart, and deck maturity at a glance.

MAKE IT YOURS
Add and edit your own cards alongside the starter deck, browse everything grouped by category, and flip the whole interface into full immersion mode once the basics stick.

Babelcraft works offline, has no ads, and doesn't track you — your deck stays yours.
