## What is Baby Games by Clever Monkey?

• Loads of "busy board" baby games to keep children engaged and learning

• Based on research in early-years brain development. Each scene develops specific skills your baby or toddler is naturally working on (a "schema"), giving them a head start on all the other cognitive development that follows.

• "Intentional distraction" instead of mindless entertainment, for guilt-free screentime!

• Easy controls to help little thumbs and fingers, unlike other toddler games

• No confusing menus to navigate, and no ads

• Freely explore and interact, no "games" to win/lose

This app is designed to accelerate children's development from the youngest possible age. As soon as a baby can observe and interact, they are engaged in something called "schematic exploration". This means they're interested in concepts like trajectory (movement), enclosure (one thing containing another), positioning (arranging objects), and so on.

In this app we offer educational open-ended activity rather than a game with rules. We want to encourage curiosity about objects and actions. This has been called "pure play" in the academic research. It is led by the child and has no winning or losing. We're creating a "play space" for the child, that has a good balance of freedom and constraint.

Reviewed several Apps for our 9 Month Old granddaughter. This seemed best for what we were looking for…combo of learning, non-game, colorful and visually interesting. Granddaughter has used it and loves it. No need to look elsewhere until she outgrows this one. Even then, we’ll check-out Clever Monkey’s other Apps first.
