### 3/5 — Didn’t know it was paid as well!

*2026-07-08, version 2.3.6*

App is great, love the filters and some great recipes but fairly frustrating that I’ve paid for the app (and I got the 3 app bundle!) and then to find that there’s a premium subscription for half the recipes. If I’m paying for the app in the first place make it clear that I need to pay a subscription to open other recipes, or better still, offer it free but an optional upgrade for a subscription!

Would also be good to be able to filter other allergens not just dairy and eggs. Peanuts is another one that could be limiting for others.

### 4/5 — Great app and recipes

*2026-06-24, version 2.3.6*

This is brilliant, so many great recipes and they are family friendly so everyone can eat the same meals and snacks. I love that almost everything is freezable. My only suggestion is that it would be beneficial to have a filter and sort section to sort recipes by cooking time, amount of ingredients, age range, alphabetical order etc however the app works amazingly well and I’m enjoying using it.

### 5/5 — Dani

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

This app has been a life saver. With my first 2 children, I always found cook books with long winded recipes really overwhelming and this made creating healthy meals a really difficult experience. This app however has made the whole process so much easier and more fun third time round!

### 5/5 — Easy tasty meals

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

I use this app all the time! So so good. Easy and tasty recipes that both kids enjoy. Even the fussiest of kids

### 2/5 — So much baking

*2026-03-12, version 2.3.6*

It’s mostly baking recipes. Not easy to prepare. Or the variety is not that much. Breakfast consists of only muffins, pancakes, and loafs. I mean I would prefer different types of meals. It’s all baking recipes. I can still use for baking. But not practical for everyday life.

### 5/5 — A lifesaver for both babies and parents

*2026-02-08, version 2.3.6*

This app helped me so much when I was weaning my first, and now that I’ve just started weaning my second I’m straight back to using it again.

I also follow her on Instagram and really love how down-to-earth and normal she is. It genuinely feels like she just wants to help other parents rather than overcomplicate things. The app has been brilliant for meal planning, and one of my favourite things is that my husband and I enjoy the recipes too, so I can cook one meal for all of us rather than separate dishes.

I’d recommend it to anyone starting baby-led weaning or just wanting simple, family-friendly meals.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-02-08, version 2.3.6*

Found the app via instagram and have made so many recipes for my 9 month old whilst time is limited.

### 5/5 — Great app for first timers

*2026-02-07, version 2.3.6*

Really great app if you’re stuck for ideas or genuinely don’t know how to approach baby led weaning. Once you’ve made a few of the recipes you will begin to apply the principles to everything you make! Highly recommended for first time mums and dads!!

### 5/5 — Brilliant recipes

*2026-02-04, version 2.3.6*

Brilliant app full of simple recipes for weaning. Easy to make and a lot of freezable recipes to allow bulk cooking and save time.

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2026-02-04, version 2.3.6*

I use this app multiple times weekly, it really helps with the constant feeling of having to think about what to make daily! I’ve used it for over a year now and highly recommend it 😊

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-02-04, version 2.3.6*

Awesome - I’m recommending it to all mamas I know that are starting BLW, the app is absolutely fantastic! I’ve only been using a couple of weeks but it’s so so well thought out! You’ve done amazing and I just wanted to say how brilliant and helpful it’s been for our family🥹 you’ve clearly spent so much time on it and it’s so easy to use, that’s my favourite part. I also only just worked out that pressing the plus next to an ingredient adds it to a shopping list which is just fantastic!!! It’s made life so much easier (which is vital as a mum right?!) and the recipes are incredible, little one is loving them😋

### 5/5 — My favourite recipe collection!

*2026-02-04, version 2.3.6*

Absolutely love this app! It’s great value for money, you’ll find tonnes of recipes even without paying anything additional for extra ones. I love how easy so many of the recipes are, and my baby loves her yummy meals. Having struggled with lots of anxiety around weaning, this app totally changed the game for us. Thank you, Natalie!

### 2/5 — Feels unfinished

*2026-01-24, version 2.3.5*

Not only does this have weird stock photos throughout (like where your shopping list is), it just doesn’t feel very interactive. I’d love to be able to sort recipes by ingredient or by age or something like that. It’s an okay cookbook I guess. I do have an issue with the recipe ingredients sometimes being pouches which i didn’t expect - I’m already cooking so I’d rather be given measurements for puree (or for the veggie steamed and then to make the recipe in a blender) rather than being told to use “two pouches” for something with no alt measurements.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2026-01-08, version 2.3.5*

You cannot sort by age. Also some recipes give you tips on feeding at different ages but other recipes don’t have any info. Even tho you pay for the app there are recipes mixed in with everything else that you have to pay an additional $1.99 for.

### 3/5 — Inconsistent measurements & does not sync

*2025-12-26, version 2.3.5*

Unfortunately the app does not sync across my devices, so if I’m browsing on my iPad and save recipes to my favorites, they do not sync to the app on my phone so I can’t easily reference them on my phone when grocery shopping. Also, the measurements are not consistent… sometimes it’s in cups and teaspoons and sometimes in grams/ml, and in America we don’t use grams/ml, so I have to convert frequently. Sometimes it’s even within the same recipe that some ingredients are cups and others are ml.

### 4/5 — So easy!

*2025-12-19, version 2.3.5*

Great app with lots of simple easy recipes that don’t take a lot of time!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2026-08-17, version 2.3.6*

Used to be fantastic until premium recipes was introduced. Buy the app to then a few
Months down the line have most of the recipes premium locked and make you pay more to view as if the cost of the app wasn’t already enough. Don’t waste your time.

### 1/5 — Inefficient

*2026-05-21, version 2.3.6*

My biggest issue with this app, and why I rarely use it, is that when I click a recipe to view it and then go back - it brings me right back to the top of the page. I can’t continue scrolling from where I was. It makes recipe browsing so time consuming.

### 1/5 — Not off to a good start

*2026-02-19, version 2.3.6*

Made the strawberry and banana pancakes tonight. I believe the weights/measurements and servings must be wrong. 30g of strawberries (approx 5 strawberries) in the recipe. One medium strawberry was 27g when weighed (with top removed). Also didn’t get 9 pancakes.

disappointed to see pouches used in some recipes but that’s just personal preference.

### 1/5 — Bit of a con to charge for the app then you need to subscribe to see many of the recipes

*2026-02-02, version 2.3.6*

Very basic recipes which are easily available elsewhere unless you subscribe for nearly £24 a year.

You’re better off buying some weaning books for the money. Weaning GP book and instagram are great.

### 1/5 — Misleading- locked recipes!!

*2025-10-29, version 2.3.5*

This app is very sneaky, you pay the upfront fee to access the app and so would think that you can access recipes but lots are locked and require an additional subscription! Pick one model of payment or the other dont try and scam people with both

### 1/5 — Really not great

*2024-03-23, version 2.2*

I am a good home cook but downloaded this app to save having to trawl Instagram for weaning inspiration. I like that you can search recipes by main ingredient. However I have cooked two to date and both have been inedible. Like I literally tried them and threw them away. Would not eat them myself so definitely would not give them to my boy. Shame as I’ve never paid for an app before and now I’m annoyed!

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2024-02-07, version 2.2*

I have tried dozens of recipes and my son has refused them all. He is not a fussy eater in any way and will eat all other meals I prepare. Such a shame as I love the idea behind the app and Natalie seems like a lovely person.

### 1/5 — Don’t waist your money

*2022-05-19, version 2.0.12*

You pay for the app then you need to pay extra for some recipes. Why???

### 1/5 — Wish I didn’t purchase

*2022-04-10, version 2.0.12*

So $5.99 for the app yet half the recipes are LOCKED! Such crap! I wish there was a money back if I didn’t like it in the first 5 mins.

### 1/5 — Not as good

*2022-02-07, version 2.0.12*

First issue, started reading “the guides”. Bold of the author to assume that all families are “mommy and daddy” and that “mommy” prepares the food. Way to solidify toxic patriarchal stereotypes! Deleted the moment I read that sentence.
Second issue, recipes repeat, just in a different form. How many ways can you make an avocado toast? Mashed avocado toast. Sliced avocado toast. My mind is blown.
Third issue, recipes are not divided into age groups. You can’t just give a bunch of non-cooked raisins to a 6-month-old, unless you want a choking baby within seconds.
This app and the cookbook is clearly written by someone who just heard about baby-led weaning and decided to make some cash out of it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love It!

*2026-05-12, version 2.3.6*

The app itself is really easy to use and isn’t buggy at all, which is great! The recipes are fantastic. Most have uncomplicated ingredients and are very quick and easy to make. I love how little washing up I have to do after! I found weaning really overwhelming to start with, but this app really helped me. Thank you!

### 5/5 — The only weaning app you’ll need!

*2026-05-02, version 2.3.6*

All of the baby led weaning apps by Natalie are absolutely fantastic. I use it everyday and LOVE it! Brilliant for quick meals when you’re stuck for time, but also brilliant for when you’ve got more time to get creative. I wish I’d got this app when I had my first baby! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

### 5/5 — A must have!

*2026-04-30, version 2.3.6*

So many amazing recipes that are quick and healthy. I’ve recommended this app to so many families.

### 5/5 — So much content and added to week after week

*2026-04-28, version 2.3.6*

Simply the best app for family friendly recipes. So much care and thought has been taken in producing this content. Long after your children have mastered the weaning process you will still find favourites that the whole family will live for years to come.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2026-04-02, version 2.3.6*

I am a rubbish cook with zero imagination for cooking for our toddler! This app really helped during the weaning period and now taking the pressure off meal times whilst giving him quality healthy meals or snack. Thanks so much! X

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2026-04-02, version 2.3.6*

I’m so glad I got this app. It’s been great for ideas for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Have made quite a few of the recipes and only had the app for a couple of months. My son has loved them all and it’s helped with my confidence when cooking for him.

### 5/5 — Sooo helpful!

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

Wouldnt be without it!! Thankyou sooo much. Youve saved my 5pm what do I cook ok 100’s of occasions! Your amazing!!

### 5/5 — A great help!

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

Fantastic app that is easy to use and has a great variety of recipes, would recommend!!

### 5/5 — Informative and easy to use!

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

Loved using this with my first born and now that we have started weaning my second child I’ve come back to this app like an old trusted friend!
Such a reassuring guide to starting your babies weaning journey as well as providing tasty recipes for all the family to enjoy!

### 5/5 — LOVE this app

*2026-04-01, version 2.3.6*

My daughter has loved almost every recipe I’ve made from this app. She has an egg allergy and I love how I can so easily filter out to the egg free ones which there are so many of. I also find it so so useful to be able to filter for freezer applicable ones as I like to batch cook, I have a freezer FULL of recipes from this app and it’s so so handy on those days where I can just get a few bits out and my daughter is still having super heathy home made food but little to no effort from me. Couldn’t recommend more, I use it at the minute for almost all of my 10 month olds meals ♥️
