“Baby Led Weaning” is the style of introducing your Baby to food with healthy, whole pieces of food that she or he can explore.  In BLW (Baby Led Weaning) you don't put spoons, or pieces of food in your baby’s mouth. You simply offer your baby food, and he eats what he wants.

Baby-led weaning allows babies to control their solid food consumption by "self-feeding" from the very beginning of their experiences with food. Baby-led weaning places the emphasis on exploring taste, texture, color and smells as the baby sets their own pace for the meal, and chooses which foods to concentrate on. Instead of spooning food into your baby's mouth, you present him or her with varied finger foods from which to choose and he or she chooses what to eat and how much. If she doesn't touch the oatmeal balls you made for her you do not put them in her mouth, you just offer them to her again at another meal.

I don’t like that there’s no age category. And I also wish there was some easier recipes. If it were a free app I’de like, maybe love the app. But it wasn’t worth the money for me.

Do not use as only source of info. Apple for example is one of e top choking foods, and need to be prepared in a specific way to make safe - this app doesn’t tell you any of this and just says to give the Apple to the baby! Not safe. Not good. I’ll be deleting the app

I've done BLW with my son 5 years ago and I wish I had this app then. The information is much more easily accessed than a book. And it's given me a lot of ideas for serving up finger foods this time around. Great work!

This is a great app. First off my son is two, so we’re past the baby led weaning stage, but many of the recipes are great for toddlers too! There are lots of finger foods recipes and great ideas for food preparations. Stew is a favorite in our house. It’s also my go-to app when I’m feeling stumped or uninspired as to what to feed my son so he can experience a variety of food.
