Submitted a report a while ago but no change yet. ### 1/5 — Crashing *2024-12-18, version 5.6.4* I really loved this app, but for the last couple of months I can’t access any of my milestones because the app keeps crashing, saying there was an error and to close the app. This is disappointing as I’ve had to try to find other apps to use, none of which are as good as this one used to be. ### 2/5 — Not working, ignored *2024-12-17* When I first got this app it was amazing. I paid for a year subscription. But the past few months, every time I try to log milestones it tells me something went wrong and the app crashes. I have reached out for a support several times and have not heard back. Then they changed to a pay model and moved all the timeline information to behind a paywall. Deleted my account and removed the app. ### 1/5 — New updates are awful *2024-01-05* The screening tools say discuss with pediatrician but not what to discuss unless you subscribe. Only causes worry without providing anymore details. New interface makes milestones too hard to find. Text is giant so you have to click into each one. Very hard to use. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Please ensure you're not using enlarged fonts on your phone: Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Text size. If you're using the default font size, the text should be normal. I have tried opening it daily for a week and it never gets past the baby on the skateboard (loading symbol when you open it). I’ve uninstalled it and it still doesn’t work. Just shows the loading screen. And I can’t redownload the app without losing all the data I have put in since my baby was born. This so was amazing at first, I could use it to monitor growth and develop and it would show where my child should be, then after about 9 months it limited my access unless I paid. That’s cool, disappointing but I will just monitor less stuff. Note I can’t do anything. However, now I can’t get past the initial loading page with the skateboarding baby. I would love to use with my baby now. The milestone features alleviates so much of my stress and concern about my child’s development. As someone without much external guidance from people in my life, this app has been so helpful as I am learning how to navigate new problems by not only teaching me new information but also providing quality guidance through activities and easy to read blogs. I recently invested in the premium version of the app, and the updates have have been worth every cent. The interface is easy to navigate and the milestone surveries/ progress checks are quick and easy, especially after a long day at work. It’s fun to know that Milestones like banging 2 objects together and picking up a cheerio just as important as baby’s first steps. It also give tips and hints on how I can help my daughter achieve her next milestone. Sharing these insights with my pediatrician has been icing on the cake. I’d highly recommend this app for any parent seeking to better understand their child’s development, has a concern or simply wants to see their child thrive. Five stars all the way!! ### 5/5 — Fantastic app for tracking my toddler’s milestones *2022-07-22* I’ve been using Pathfinder almost since my toddler was born over two years ago. Pathfinder has helped me keep track of her developmental milestones and has also alerted me when she has been either ahead of or behind a typical schedule for child development. You can tell that the Pathfinder team applies rigorous scientific and medical standards to their product. Give me more!! ### 5/5 — Great tool for parents of young kids *2022-03-25* This is a beautifully designed app, and I find it very useful to track milestones for my young children. I’ve replaced the traditional baby book with this app. It helps me to take the worry out of if my children are learning and growing on schedule. If something is identified on this app that seems off in my child’s development, I’d feel comfortable taking my concerns to my pediatrician and discussing further. It’s a great way to identify potential issues. I also have found all the articles and activities on the app very valuable. This is a great tool for parents. ### 5/5 — Ingenious Method To Track Child Development *2022-03-23* There are several of these apps available today, that can help digitally record your child’s development. I think where Pathfinder is really setting a new direction is in the aggregation of data on a linear and real-time basis. The end result is that you’re getting a very through cross section of a child’s behavioral development incorporating multiple data points form multiple perspectives. Versus getting feedback from a pediatrician or some other medical professional at a single point in time. The key to effectively using this app is getting all stakeholders (doctors, teachers, babysitters, etc.) in your child’s sphere of influence to adopt this app as an additional method to record key behavioral milestones in your childs development. Aggregating this data will absolutely help parents and doctors to identify child development challenges, and potentially introduce effective interventions on a much earlier timeline.
