When I’m in doubt I can go back and listen to that rustling noise to check if it just might be my little boy crying (it’s not), or simply watch my beautiful baby sleeping for hours on end (often) even while sipping my latte. The app does not need to be purchased for each device if you use devices with the same platform. Unfortunately, there are no tools that would allow us to share the license between individual application stores. For this reason, the app needs to be purchased once for each platform (not each device). The app has a Night Light feature that helps you see better in the dark. Feel free to contact us at helpme@tappytaps.com if you need more information. 🙂 ### 1/5 — Privacy Nightmare *2022-11-22, version 4.17.0* We specifically bought Baby Monitor 3G for its privacy features – it worked on a local network and authorised via 9 digit codes. At some point, TappyTaps decided to disable local connections and everything goes over the internet and their servers (check the current privacy policy). TappyTaps goes further to demand that users open port 5222 in their router. Now BabyMonitor 3G has become spyware into your home. Who knows what they do with the videos, who knows what partners they have to turn on video monitoring when asked. TappyTaps has even taken down the privacy posts from 2014 from their weblog as well as removed all the posts from their knowledge base to try to cover their tracks. TappyTaps broke the bond of trust with its users. What's even worse is that TappyTaps managed to push the privacy respecting version off of our iPhones and iPads (we had a bunch set up so this is not a one-time mistake on our part) and force us onto a version which sends all data over their server, when we had specifically been careful not to upgrade. Avoid at all costs. Unfortunately most other monitoring apps are just as bad. I'm going to try using the remote camera app in FilmicPro. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2022-09-12, version 4.16.0* I thought this was a brilliant idea at first, but quickly realised that it’s far from perfect. The app seems to eat up the battery of both devices, it’s set to permanently tell me that my child is awake, making this annoying humming noise when on quite and possibly draining my battery further. Every so often it suddenly makes a continuous high pitch noise, why you may ask? Who knows! It will not go away and eventually it wakes my son. So I am not sure what the rest of the 5 stars were all about, but from me it gets 0 stars. ### 1/5 — Does NOT Work do not buy! *2022-09-06, version 4.16.0* Purchase app 30 minutes ago worked for 11 minutes. The reason I am taking away 1 star is because my TV can only be a parent station and I went in the Apple TV App Store and In the “ App description” section and it said in future updates there will be a monitoring log and baby station for Apple TV ( using Apple TV as baby station and a log for parent also on Apple TV) So when will it be available? Die WLAN-Verbindung ist ein großer Pluspunkt, weil sie deutlich mehr Freiheit bietet als ein klassisches Babyfon mit begrenzter Reichweite. So kann ich auch mal im Garten, bei den Nachbarn oder im Keller etwas erledigen und weiß trotzdem, dass ich erreichbar bin, falls mein Kind mich braucht. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass die Videoanzeige zwar verfügbar ist, aber nicht ständig laufen muss. Meistens reicht mir der Ton völlig aus. Wenn ich kurz nachsehen möchte, ob mein Kind wirklich schläft oder nur ein Geräusch gemacht hat, schalte ich die Kamera einfach dazu. Genau diese Flexibilität gefällt mir sehr. Eine Funktion, die ich vorher gar nicht auf dem Schirm hatte, ist die Anzeige, wann zuletzt ein Geräusch erkannt wurde. Das klingt erst einmal unspektakulär, gibt mir aber tatsächlich viel Sicherheit. Wenn ich auf die App schaue und sehe, dass seit längerer Zeit kein Laut mehr zu hören war, weiß ich direkt, dass alles ruhig ist und auch seit längerem schon war. Neulich saß ich abends noch gemütlich bei den Nachbarn, während mein Kind drüben geschlafen hat. Früher wäre ich wahrscheinlich gefühlt alle 5 min mal nachschauen gegangen. Mit diesem Babyfon kann ich einfach entspannt sitzen bleiben und weiß trotzdem jederzeit, wie die Lage ist. Für mich eine wirklich gelungene Lösung, die viel Freiheit mit gutem Gewissen gibt. Kind und sind mehr als zufrieden. Die App erfüllt genau ihren Zweck und das absolut zuverlässig - nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Die Kopplung zwischen verschiedenen Geräten klappt immer problemlos und unkompliziert. Das finanzielle Investment ist minimal - insbesondere, wenn man bedenkt, was man dafür bekommt: eine personalisierbare Überwachung, je nach Wunsch nur akustisch oder zusätzlich visuell. Wir nutzen die App unterwegs auf Reisen und Festen, würden sie garantiert aber auch zu Hause nutzen, wenn wir nicht schon ein stationäres Gerät hätten.
