It’s the only app I’ve seen that allows you to listen to more then one audio stream at the same time. A key feature of you have more then one child! It also plays the audio even when the phone/iPad has the screen locked AND in the background. I love the numbered program movement, relay option, audio timeline, ability to work with a variety of cameras(Foscam), and its price. I have had zero trouble with it and a wired camera. Love it! ### 5/5 — Best Baby Monitor App *2020-07-06, version 6.0.3* This app rocks. The ability to set a “squelch” level is key. This lets my wife and I have the monitor on without having to hear the baby’s sound machine or quiet noises he might make, but if he cries, the volume is loud enough and then the audio comes through. We also love the ability to see the sound history so we can tell how well our baby slept, or if he woke up in the middle of the night and made some quiet noises without crying. ### 5/5 — Great app with minor issues on iPad *2020-04-30, version 6.0.3* Really great baby monitor app, probably the best out there. However running on iPad iOS 13 I’ve seen a couple of issues. First, the app doesn’t support landscape mode very well. My iPad is mounted horizontally, the bottom half of the screen (where the controls are) is not visible when in landscape mode, I can’t change PTZ, can’t talk, etc, unless I turn the device into portrait mode. Second, when put into background on iPad iOS 13 then resume, it shows a blank screen but the sound from the camera is still going, at this point the app must be killed and relaunched. This doesn’t happen on my iPhones. Hope these two issues can be resolved. Thank you! ### 5/5 — 7 years and running *2020-01-22, version 6.0.3* I've been using this since our first newborn. He'll be 7 in a couple of months. We use it every night and to spy on the kids in the playroomfrom our phones and tablet. When on vacation we move cameras around and use it to watch the house live (using separate confiig profiles for external URLs). ### 5/5 — Totally worth purchasing *2020-01-05, version 6.0.3* This is hands down the perfect app to use regular IP cameras as full featured baby monitors. The developer does a good job of updating with new models and bug fixes from time to time. This app hands down makes any baby monitor completely obsolete and way overpriced. This is a must have app that we have been using every single night for over 7 years straight. ### 5/5 — Works great, and keeps getting better *2019-12-05, version 5.0.3* This app has consistently worked very well, and since it's helping me keep an eye on my babies, I need to be able to trust it. I use two Hikvision wifi cameras via ONVIF and I have been happy with the performance of the system for over a year now. Setup can be a little tricky, but once you get it going it works great. I've tried other apps and definitely prefer this one. The audio history is great. The ability to use a wide variety of cameras, to keep it only on your local network, to adjust the sound levels for alerts. Our family grew 6 months ago and we started using it again. I have never had a problem with the app once the cameras were configured. Still giving it 5 stars for dependability and updates, my one problem is having to search through each cameras profile to try and find one that will work with your camera if it isn’t listed. It would be great to have the app search through each one and maybe a little more compatibility. At the same time, if you buy the cameras that the app supports, it’s a fine app. 👍 ### 5/5 — Can listen to podcast, music or book at same time. *2019-06-01, version 5.0.3* Was looking for a way to listen to a baby monitor in background and maintain full functionality of my phone. I also like that I can listen to them with screen off. App layout/ease of use isn’t the best but functionality makes up for it. Well worth purchasing if you have kiddos. Just now he woke up and the alarm on the app ding and I checked the camera I can see that he was able to lay back down himself. I can also see when a baby in another room makes a sound that displays on the sound graph on this monitor ### 5/5 — Exceptional feature: audio monitoring *2019-04-25, version 5.0.3* The app is a must once you move your baby to his/her own room. We use the native Amcrest app for all camera movements and framing the shot, but once the camera is set, the audio monitoring on this app is hands done awesome! It runs in the background so it doesn’t drain our battery, but as soon as the decibels in the room exceed the threshold we set, the app immediately let’s us know to bring up the monitor and make sure all is well. We finally have our evenings back doing the things we love downstairs with the app monitoring the baby upstairs ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs force quit to refresh and asks for reviews over and over and over *2019-09-03, version 6.0.3* This app was fine. It has some nice features like ptz and audio squelch, but if you click away from it you need to kill the app or it won’t reload the camera (just a black screen). It also asks me to send feedback every single day (we use the app nightly for my son). So I send feedback every day. And they’ve responded 0 times. I have a sneaking suspicion there is no more tiny app software or whatever their name is. And I just want to turn off their feedback request and make the screen work without quitting the app. Don’t spend money on this app until they verify they still exist and will support their app!! 9/3/19 - holy crap. They still exist (iOS 13 update, which isn’t even out yet) I have probably sent 100 comments through the app since the app asks for feedback almost every time I open it. Does this mean tiny apps is again paying for their website and responding to feedback requests? ### 1/5 — Some annoying features *2019-05-21, version 5.0.3* The user interface is poorly designed. The display windows of the videos Is shared by annoying and useless graphics of audio history. This means for a small screen like of the phone, the useless information eats up too much room, making the essential information like the video window too small to view. Wonder what got into the heads of the developer to come up with such layout? And they never seem to listen either! ### 1/5 — Worked at first but.... *2019-02-20, version 5.0.3* The app worked well at first. I even purchased the upgrades since I have more than one camera. Then about 3 months after, the app stopped showing the cams picture. I know it was the app because a different cam app that I used previously worked just fine. Soon after this occurred I emailed the support email add about the problem. Well, 3 weeks later and still no response. Don’t waste your money on this app. It doesn’t work and the developer doesn’t care once they have your money! ### 1/5 — No support for set-up *2018-04-09, version 5.0.2* I got this app to work with my Amcrest camera (which I currently don’t recommend either because it makes a crackling noise whenever the app is open). I was hoping this app would make that issue go away. However, I can’t even connect the camera to this app. There is no information in the app or on the website to help set up the app to work with the camera. The FAQs on the website don’t explain how to set up the app (specifically how to determine the IP or hostname for the camera). Google has been no help either. I wish I had just bought a regular baby monitor. ### 2/5 — App regularly crashes, reboots iPhone XR *2019-01-30, version 5.0.3* First, let me say I have loved this app for years. My oldest is 5.5 and I have used this app for years. With the right WiFi and iPhone, it works really well. My wife and I can both run the app for both our kids without incident most of the time. When we had a cheaper Wi-Fi it would disconnect randomly at night, but I’m convinced that was the fault of my cheaper Wi-Fi router. The reason for my 2 star review is recent. I got the iPhone XR 2 months ago. Regularly when resuming this app from being in the background, it will crash my phone. Like 3 seconds after resuming it will crash, show me the Apple logo, then reboot. I contacted support a month ago but I haven’t heard back. It is very frustrating. I used to run the app every night but now I let my wife run it. There are no issues with her iPhone 8. If they fix the iPhone XR issues I’ll give it 5 stars. ### 3/5 — love it when it works *2022-03-17, version 6.0.5* This app has been great to access the camera from either my phone or my husbands, or to leave an iPad with the app for a sitter. However in the last month or so the app randomly doesn’t work for hours at a time and I have to use the camera software instead which is frustrating when I paid for this app and it s regularly failing. ### 3/5 — Great app - issue with iOS 12.4 *2019-10-15, version 6.0.3* My wife and I have used this app every night for the last 4 years. That’s not a joke. It’s amazing for monitoring our two kids from our phones. One issue is that since the iOS 12.4 update, the red bar that should appear to show its running in the background is gone. I’ve tried to contact the developer but their site is totally down. Want to give 5 stars and will adjust if this issue gets fixed! ### 4/5 — Great App *2023-06-18* As long as you have a little bit of an understanding of how to connect to and setup an ip camera it is absolutely awesome. I’ve been using it as my primary baby monitor for 6 years now. I use an Amcrest ptz camera as the monitor, in case you want a recommendation. Even taught myself to setup a vpn to my home network so I can see the kids while I’m out of town. I didn’t like the idea of opening a port to a webcam in my kids room so I went big on the encryption and security. Probably overkill but it works great. One thing I wish I could see added is the ability to watch the video while doing something else on your phone. The audio monitor does run in the background so that’s good. I withheld 1 star just for that one feature. Probably harsh but it should be an easy fix. ### 4/5 — Fantastic app *2022-07-22, version 6.0.5* This app works so well and is so much better than the default amcrest app. I especially love that I can monitor in the background. Gave 4 stars only because my camera, amcrest ASH21-B-V3, isn't officially supported. I get video and audio by selecting any other amcrest camera but cannot use the camera controls and so I have to go to the default app to do so. But monitoring with this app is seamless. The only feature from the default app I like is the privacy me where the camera turns off and points to itself so nothing can be viewed of it were hacked. Then it remembers the position to return to when privacy mode is of turned off. Would be a cool feature. ### 4/5 — Missing the option not to show “audio monitoring” *2019-11-30, version 6.0.3* This is a good replacement of LiveCams Pro which disappeared on App Store for the unknown reason. For this app, I purchased the “Advanced Features Pack” which allows multiple monitors/cameras on 1 screen. The purpose of my cameras are not for monitoring baby and I am not interested in 2 way talk, so I did not purchase the “Audio” option. However, the “Audio monitoring” is still showing on the monitoring screen and taking up the space of the phone screen. Moreover, it is eye soaring. Emailed the support thru the app for 2 days and have not had a reply. Went to the developer web site and it took me back to the App Store here. I would give it a 5 stars if there is a way to not showing the “Audio” monitoring on the monitor screen. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great Secure Baby Monitor *2023-07-30* We have an autistic child who is now 8 y/o. We started using this app when she was brought home from the hospital and we’ve been using ever since because she needs a little more monitoring than the average child. We have been using a Foscam POE PTZ camera the entire time with no issues. What’s great about using the POE is the camera is secure and not sending wireless data/images of my daughter’s bedroom. The standard wireless (not Wi-Fi, wireless) baby cameras all share the same frequencies so one of the monitors can access other cameras if it’s close enough. Lots of videos online of people accidentally picking up their neighbors’ baby feeds. If you want and have the technical abilities, you can also access this from outside your home if you know how to access your network. I highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — Simply the best *2022-12-21, version 6.0.5* We have tried countless, standalone devices and different apps. This is by far the most flexible and adjustable. I even just bought a very expensive, smart monitor and ended up returning it because I didn’t feel it offered the flexibility this app brings. ### 5/5 — Lifesaver *2022-11-14, version 6.0.5* I’ve been using this app for several years across multiple children. Both my wife and I have purchased every addon as this was so much cheaper than a dedicated baby monitor. I can even watch the cameras while doing yard work or going on a close walk, as I can vpn home! It’s amazing. I love this app! So easy to integrate an Amcrest camera, while not bricking my home monitoring solution. 5-stars! Although two suggestions I’d love to make. - Support the latest Picture in Picture from iOS (will pay for this upgrade!) - also, going from this app to music has bugs. It’ll stop the music from playing and if you switch to the music app it appears the background monitoring stops. So monitoring while trying to squeeze in an exercise has some issues at the moment. I have to flip back to this app and the resume music via the pull-down menu. ### 5/5 — Excellent monitoring app *2022-03-28, version 6.0.5* Works well with my foscam Wi-Fi cameras. Once it is set up it has worked amazing. I ended up hardwiring my cameras and that helped a lot with delay. I have 3 cameras on it and it works flawlessly. The one time fee is well worth it ### 5/5 — Absolutely Awesome *2022-02-06, version 6.0.5* We have been using this app for over 10 years and love it. Three kids have cameras in their rooms and also our playroom. We can see them all at the same time or just one. You can see, talk, and listen through the app and even pan, tilt, and zoom if your cameras allow it. The best part to me is that the images don’t go to Google, or Apple, or anyone else. There is no third party required. Just us. We use Foscam R2 cameras with pan, tilt, zoom, and night vision. This is the best app out there for baby monitoring! I have tried 3 other apps, and this is the BEST one. I just got a 12 pro max and when I view a single camera in portrait mode, the camera only takes up about 3/4 of the screen.
