## What is Baby Share?

That old smartphone in a drawer is already a baby monitor. Stand it up next to the crib, open Baby Share on your own phone, and watch live video with sound.

NO SERVER, NO INTERNET
The two devices talk to each other directly — over your home Wi-Fi, or straight to each other when there is no network at all. Video and audio are never uploaded anywhere and never leave your home. No account, no sign-up, no cloud.

PIN PROTECTED
The camera only starts sending a picture to a device that knows your PIN.

Two devices running iOS 17 or later. Both must be on the same Wi-Fi network or close to each other. The app does not work over the internet and cannot show you a camera in another building.

Minimise the monitor and the video stays put. Picture in Picture keeps a little window on top of everything else, so you can scroll away and still keep half an eye on the crib.

The camera hears crying now (PRO). It recognises it right on the device and pings your monitor — even with the sound off and the camera app tucked away in the background.

The connection holds better. If it drops, the monitor comes back on its own. If it drops while your phone is in your pocket, you get a notification. And the screen no longer goes dark halfway through the night shift.

We also filled in Help with the subscription questions — how many devices, what happens with Family Sharing, where to restore a purchase — and caught a rare crash when starting a broadcast.
