This is an excellent program to teach sign language to babies. They love to see the animated baby make the sign because it brings it to their level. Also it is not wordy but to the point.

### 5/5 — Mom of three, first time

### 5/5 — Best App Yet

*2013-04-30, version 1.4*

This app is awesome! My daughter is now 18 months and she started using it 8 months ago. She knows her colors, daily routines, and numbers just to name a few. I recommend this app! My daughter is definitely a baby genius now

### 5/5 — Excellent product

*2013-04-24, version 1.4*

My son ADORES this app. He simply cannot get enough of it. He has been
In love with the little girl since he was 6 months old.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-04-15, version 1.4*

My granddaughter is attracted to the child's voice and animations of a child doing the signing. Her speaking vocabulary leaps forward with each and every session with the app and the singing itself is also helpful when she can't say the word!

### 5/5 — Great

*2013-03-27, version 1.2*

Very helpful. The baby loves it even more than I do.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-03-10, version 1.2*

This is the best app there is to learn baby asl! Highly recommend

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2013-03-02, version 1.2*

My grandson loves it at 8 months

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hardly has a word list of signs

*2023-01-06, version 1.9*

Does not have enough words at all for the price. They really need to update this app by adding way! More words. They literally have about 20 sign words or less.

### 1/5 — Duplicate app!

*2016-02-16, version 1.8.6*

This app has the exact same words as the ASL dictionary app...though the description makes it seem like there are many more. I just wasted 2.99.

### 2/5 — It's okay

*2017-03-14, version 1.8.6*

The app was useful when I first purchased it. But that was nearly 3 years ago. This app needs to be updated. It runs very slow and drains the battery on my phone. Please update it to be compatible with the new OS.

### 2/5 — Hard to visual

*2013-07-02, version 1.6*

The idea is good, but first the baby showing how to learn the alphabet moves a bit to fast and it is not clear - for example it does not explain the thumb must be on the side of the hand for the character A - you cannot tell the difference between D and F - words like Train was not clear you use two fingers over two fingers - it looks like two over one finger in the example. So I have to say you might want to think about this purchase.

### 3/5 — Disgruntled but satisfied

*2012-11-03, version 1.2*

I bought volume 1 through the free ap and it never downloaded. I really wanted this ap so I bought this version. I hope to not have any problems with this one and I hope I wasn't charged for the failed version!

### 4/5 — Helpful, toddler loves it, yet...

*2020-07-07, version 1.8.8*

So these really are pretty good apps and I’m good with the purchase, yet they really need to offer a lot more words to teach them more communication. I believe one of the reasons my grandson loves these so much is because it’s a toddler using their hands and saying words at the same time.
Please developers, come up with more language packs!!

### 4/5 — Great, but...

*2017-06-10, version 1.8.6*

It needs shapes! Trying to teach a kiddo green square. Got green down, but no square. 😕

### 4/5 — Fantastic!

*2012-10-19, version 1.2*

I have the free version of this app and you can change it to Australian sign language. After trying many sign apps I chose this one to get the full version as it was the most interactive and easiest to navigate and learn from. My only disappointment was that the full version did not have a choice to convert to Australian as there are quiet a few differences. Update this and it will be 5 stars! Thanks for the great app

### 4/5 — Great app but girl voice needs some more help and Spanish has some issues

*2012-10-08, version 1.2*

Signs are very clear. And the boy voice is very clear in his pronunciation. However, even after the latest fix, the girl mispronounces and mumbles/baby talks. Especially her Rs (horse). It's very cute, but I want my daughter to be exposed to clear speech. Just like the clear signs! Thank you!

I just purchased the Spanish upgrade. It would be nice if it did not play automatically after the English. Also, if the lips matched the Spanish words and the words could be pronounced slower and clearer. Babies learn by reading lips as well so it might be confusing. I like the effort that went into the original English version with different voices, enunciation and matching lip movements. I wish I could turn the Spanish off. Thanks.

### 4/5 — Baby sign

*2012-10-04, version 1.2*

Overall very Good, but sometimes the little girls pronunciation is bad & incorrect. Please fix.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Interactive and Functional

*2021-07-30, version 1.8.9*

I love how easy it makes learning sign language. It is great for practicing and my two-year-old grandson loves it!

### 5/5 — Great Grandpa needs to learn to sign. Seems good to start

*2021-06-21, version 1.8.9*

Seems good to start

### 5/5 — Love it, but no shapes

*2020-02-22, version 1.8.8*

Wonderful app! My daughter asks to practice her signs. The only thing I wish it had is shapes (square, circle, etc.), but otherwise it covers many basics my 2 year old uses.

### 5/5 — Love this App!

*2019-11-25, version 1.8.8*

The babies are adorable & my grandson LOVES THIS APP!!

### 5/5 — Fabulous & Fun!!

*2019-11-04, version 1.8.7*

It’s great to have the ability to learn to sign along with your toddler. It’s been great fun and both grandchildren love the app.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2015-01-30, version 1.8.6*

This app is created so thoughtfully! It has a list A-Z of different things like "all done," or "banana" common things we use and do everyday! I am not an app buyer but this one was so worth it. My daughter is 7 months and isn't very easily interested in things but this had her attention, and she loves it! The comment before me mentioned that it would be nice if they had a favorites section and, they made it! So very worth it 😊😊

### 5/5 — Daughter loves it

*2014-07-08, version 1.8.6*

My 15 month old daughter loves seeing the babies do the signs. She requests the ones she likes the most, "Apple! Apple!" It's a terrific way for us both to learn some signs.

### 5/5 — Big fan!

*2014-05-07, version 1.8.6*

I am a huge fan of this app. I have a 6 month old I babysit and am working on introducing signing to her. My 7 yo niece loves the app too, I think she enjoys the animation most of all. There are tons of signs to learn: colors, animals, actions, food, etc. You can quiz yourself or review all the signs alphabetically; tons of features. I would appreciate though if the programmers could make a favorites section. This would help the user get to signs they use most often in one place without searching through others. Also having a favorites file might also help someone review signs they are having difficulty remembering. I hope you consider my recommendation. This would be so helpful. Thanks! And to anyone reading this review thinking about buying the app, it's worth every cent.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2014-04-21, version 1.8.6*

My 9 mo old loves watching this! I've been showing him the basic baby signs since 5 months and he has yet to show me a sign. But today I was showing him the milk sign on this app and signing with it and I could see him extend his fingers and look a this hand like he wants to start trying it. I don't pay for many apps, but this one was definitely worth it! So is the nursery rhyme app by the same people. Going to review that now!

### 5/5 — Love it!!!

*2013-08-28, version 1.7*

Easy to use!!! Love it!!!!
