### 2/5 — Difficult to use

*2024-10-27*

The favorites function does not work so you have to search for every word you want to learn, every time. The animations are ok, sometimes I think it works be easier to learn with videos of real people signing.

### 4/5 — Needs Dark Mode

*2024-06-08, version 4.9.2*

Good little app for learning baby signs. Only problem is if you use dark mode you can’t read the text as it’s white on a white background.

Would be great to see more signs added too!

### 2/5 — Issues with app

*2023-06-14*

I have downloaded and paid for the full library of baby sign flash cards, however after the first week only the intro signs are available. I have removed the app and redownloaded and still it won’t restore the purchases. I have tried restoring purchases many times or even paying again and nothing works.

### 3/5 — Was great

*2021-05-17*

This was great with my first kiddo. I now have a new iPhone and it doesn’t work, the words don’t show up on the screen and my purchases hasn’t refreshed.

### 4/5 — Baby sign

*2020-04-21, version 4.9.1*

This is a good app for letting you children see, my second child is deaf and he watches the signs same with his sisters who are not deaf and they try and do it, I hope they put more signs in it though I paid the £1.99 for more signs but hope they get more signs out! Great app!

### 2/5 — Poor interface

*2019-10-06, version 4.9*

It is hard to see what the signs actually are in some of the animations. A human performing them may be better. Also the interface crashes and it does not let you navigate between different parts of the app. I have to shut it down and open it again.

### 3/5 — Paid but didn’t receive...

*2019-10-04*

Hi, have really liked the intro to this app - best that I have found - however I went to download version one and two so we can learn more words.... but the words never downloaded even though I have been charged. Please help would love to continue using this app

### 2/5 — Not Free

*2019-07-17*

Limited vocabulary unless you make a purchase, despite in app ads.

### 4/5 — My next new baby

*2019-03-16*

I had one son is now 9years old. Since when he was baby I had use that app. Now he grow up and great communication with parent deaf. Now I got another baby. My 2 years old daughter start learned 30 sign language. Reason why I give 4 stars rate.? Somehow I got new iPad and I have to purchase this app again. I have same in my account apple. And in flash card there something is problem that I can’t get photo tap on camera for into flash card, please developers fix this part that. Thank you

### 3/5 — Not a lot of content

*2019-03-09, version 4.9*

Great that you can pick the country you live in. Not so great that there are only a handful of words. Guessing you have to pay to unlock more.

### 2/5 — Great but...

*2019-01-13*

I gladly paid the small price for this app but seems like every week it requires me to restore my purchase and re-download the content. Not quite so customer friendly.

The pictures are great - easy to understand and learn from.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2016-08-23, version 4.8.5*

The free version includes about 10 words, 5 of which aren't essential for a baby. Didn't make me want to purchase the app at all.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Purchase doesn’t work

*2023-11-12*

Great basic start but you pay and don’t receive anything extra. Very disappointed

### 1/5 — Paid version doesn’t work properly

*2022-07-26*

Paid to upgrade as the free version is pointless. Now the app doesn’t show written words, only the cartoon symbol. Incredibly difficult to navigate so I never use it. Have contacted developer several times to no avail. Waste of money.

### 1/5 — Titles disappeared

*2022-06-06*

I got the app and it seemed great, so I purchased all the packs… then just a couple days later I opened it and all the titles in the list of signs disappeared! I can’t read/tell which sign is what anymore 😭 I tried deleted the app and reinstalling, but it didn’t work. I think it might be related to the most recent iOS update 🤷🏻‍♂️ please fix so I can update rating

### 1/5 — Don’t do the upgrade

*2021-11-21*

I purchased the American pack and it says it downloaded but it did not. Stole my money! Like $3 but still. Disappointing.

### 1/5 — Never got what I paid for

*2021-10-20*

I paid for the $2.99 for levels 1,2 and 3 and never got them. I tried to restore my purchases and nothing. It says downloading but nothing.

### 1/5 — Paid but didn’t upgrade

*2021-03-30*

I love this app, I have a almost nonverbal child who only learns new words through sign. I paid the extra for the rest of the words but they aren’t showing on my app.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2020-05-16*

Purchased all the signs but can’t get them

### 1/5 — Download

*2020-01-25*

I purchased this app but it has not downloaded
Most disappointed

### 1/5 — Doesn't work with voice over

*2018-12-28*

I am 22, but i have a visual impairment, and i chose this app because it was the only one that will tell you how to actually sign the sign. It doesn't work with voice over though!

### 1/5 — Additional features won't download

*2015-12-30, version 4.8.5*

Good app in general but can't get the paid additional versions to download. Don't download any of the paid features.

### 5/5 — My son isn't dead but is delayed

*2020-12-18*

For any parents with children with delays start ASAP. We do speech and do ASL there but for daily practice my 2 1/2 year old son loves this. Very easy to use. Especially love the ability to favorite only certain words.

### 5/5 — Very engaging

*2020-04-29*

Kids love the cute characters and engage with them. The flash cards and visual explanations are good and the quiz is a great way to practice.

### 5/5 — LOVE IT!!!!

*2020-01-20*

I love this web site bc I can do it anytime and multiple choose works with my brain verses books or flash cards-THANKS BUNCHES FOR IT!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2019-10-05*

I know AUSLAN but this app is great to refresh my memory and know which key signs to start bubba on.

### 5/5 — Baby Sign

*2019-08-02, version 4.9*

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2018-10-02*

Does what it is supposed to

### 5/5 — Highly Recommended - amazingly helpful app.

*2017-02-12, version 4.8.5*

I trialled the free version first. It took a while before my 8 month old granddaughter responded but we all persevered signing to her and one day out of the blue at 10 months old she signed back to us. Her first sign was helicopter 👏. We see them fly over all the time. As she progressed I bought the full version. It was so worth it, she had a wide range of words to draw on which I believe made it that much easier for her to communicate precisely what she was thinking.
I would highly recommend this particular app, and to anyone who is keen to communicate with their child before they can speak, I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to persevere even if you think they're not getting it. Repetion, repetition, repetition!!!
This app is so easy to use with very simple gestures. By approx 13 months, once my grand daughter learned how to turn the iPad on, she was spending many happy hours navigating her way around the app. She absolutely loved using it. Her transition to verbal communication was made that much easier as she already had a good range of words to draw on. At 4 years old she will still occasionally go back and use the app.
Thank you for taking the time to make this extremely helpful app.

### 5/5 — Pretty cool

*2016-04-14, version 4.8.5*

My 18 month old learned all the signs in the free version so I ended up purchasing the full version so continue teaching him. It's a pretty good app. Only we stopped using it temporarily bc my son who can speak very well decided he would just sign instead of speaking 😂😂😂.
