## What is BabyBeam?

Turn two iPhones or iPads into a private video baby monitor — no account, no subscription, nothing stored. Just a pairing code.

BabyBeam is built around one idea: your baby's room is nobody else's business.

• No account, no registration, no subscription — ever.
• Nothing is recorded or stored. No cloud library, no history.
• Video and audio go directly phone to phone, end-to-end encrypted. Only the two phones sharing your pairing code can connect.

WHAT YOU GET
• Live video and sound from the nursery; the camera brightens automatically in a dim room, and you can switch on the baby phone's light remotely. (No infrared — it can't see in total darkness.)
• Talk back — hold to speak.
• Smart cry detection that tells real crying from other sounds, with alerts on your lock screen even when the app is in your pocket.
• A Live Activity and Dynamic Island so you can see the status at a glance.
• Battery, charging state and temperature of the baby phone, right on your screen.
• Soothing sounds on demand — white and pink noise and lullabies with a timer.
• Pinch to zoom, a listen-only mode to save battery, and QR-code pairing so grandparents never have to type anything.

New: BabyBeam is now also available in German, French and Spanish, and a feedback link on the connect screen and in Settings lets you report a problem, share an idea, or flag a translation issue directly from the app.

Everything else — video, cry alerts, talk back, no subscription — stays exactly the same.

The tip jar is now reachable straight from the gift icon in the top right, instead of only at the bottom of Settings.

A tip still unlocks nothing all functionality stays exactly the same.

New: you can now leave a tip if you'd like to. You'll find it at the bottom of Settings.

A tip unlocks nothing. All monitoring — video, sound, cry alerts, talk back — stays exactly as it was, and there is still no subscription. BabyBeam is made by one parent; a tip helps pay for its development, nothing more.

Also: the wording about seeing in the dark is now clearer. The camera brightens automatically in a dim room and you can switch on the baby phone's light remotely, but there is no infrared — that was stated ambiguously before.
