All he did was swipe out of it and he was free ranging my phone. Definitely glad I didn’t pay the $20 a month for it! **Developer response:** Thank you for trying out our app! This can be done by pressing Volume Up then release, press the Volume Down then release, then hold the Power button. 2) Once the Apple logo appears on your screen, you can release the Side button. 3) Enter your lock screen passcode or device passcode. I would also have chosen the monthly option, I’m switch off iPhone. After following initial instructions, that were annoying, it makes you do it every time!? What parent has time for that? I’m trying to use this app as a quick temporary distraction for my infant. Apple’s security requires that initial setup, but the good news is you only have to do it one time. Once it's ready, you can lock the screen for your infant in literally 2 seconds just by triple-clicking the side button. We made a quick video to show you exactly how to make it that fast - please look for a video setup instructions in the app. We’d love the chance to make this right. We really appreciate you helping us make the app safer for everyone 🙏 ### 1/5 — SCAM SCAM SCAM *2025-11-11* They get u in w a free trial but once u open the app there’s no way to go to any kind of settings to allow u to get out of the trial. When trying to engage the lock it just takes you to the play mode choices and leaves the screen unlocked. Very annoyed, would like a refund if not fixed soon. ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Fun app, caring/responsive devs *2025-12-23* My 9mo daughter loves this app. At first it just looks like a bunch if icons and emojis floating around, but there are a bunch of cute little interactions baked into those screens that are entertaining to discover. I appreciate that none of it is overly stimulating if you're a parent that worries about unregulated screen time, but what's there was designed thoughtfully with children's mental development in mind. The UI wasn't super polished at first, so it was a little bit tricky figuring out how to set up guided access, but it's actually really simple and totally worth it once you set it up. The devs are super responsible and helpful if you need help - just message them through facebook messenger. They got back to me right away to resolve a payment issue, and when I made a few suggestions around colors and icons, and they made the update within a few days. We’d love to clarify that the "lock" feature you're seeing is actually Guided Access, a standard Apple system tool designed specifically for parents. It’s a wonderful lifesaver that keeps little ones from accidentally leaving the app or deleting photos, and it’s much more flexible than it first appears: - Face ID is 100% Optional: You do not have to use Face ID. You can set a simple 4-digit PIN code specifically for Guided Access instead. - Unique Security: This PIN can be completely different from your main iPhone passcode for extra peace of mind. - Ease of Use: Once you’ve done the initial setup, you can enable or disable the lock in just a few seconds by triple-clicking your side button.
