You cannot use any feature of this app without "subscribing" to either monthly or annual billing. Apps like this are so misleading by offering free to download but you cannot get past the interface to even use a free portion. NOTHING about this app is free other than to download it.

Hi, we're really sorry for the frustration. BabyPlate is built by a small team of parents and developers, and the subscription is what lets us keep the food database updated, add new allergens, and keep improving the app. We genuinely can't afford to offer it for free, but every feature is unlocked during the free trial and you can cancel anytime before it ends at no charge
The weekly plans are a lifesaver on busy days
BabyPlate helped me keep everything in one place and stop guessing. I love being able to quickly check foods, see how to serve them safely, and track what my baby has already had.

Totally worth it! I can quickly check and track foods!!
The app is paid - $7/month with a yearly plan, but totally worth it! I can quickly check foods while cooking to see if they’re allergens, iron-rich, their nutrition value, or choking risks. Since variety is so important, I also track what my baby has already tried, note any reactions, and see what to offer next. It even makes grocery shopping easier, I know exactly what new foods to buy!
