Awesome. But now they have an app?? Brilliant!! This will make all the communication and details much easier to access during the business of traveling. Have used it in several cities and will not travel without renting now that I know how much easier it makes things. Was pleasantly surprised to know you can rent more than just baby gear. I rented a stroller in FL when we didn’t bring one and it saved our trip. Now I rent wherever we go and this app makes it even easier to find what I need and keep track of everything. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Glitchy App & Hard to Navigate *2026-05-18* App is extremely glitchy and alot of the times can’t send messages to providers. Now they make you choose your items to rent and then pick a provider which is not efficient. Just very poorly laid out and difficult to navigate. ### 1/5 — Terrible Experience, Never Using Again *2026-02-02* I reserved a car seat a month ago. My trip is in three days and I just out of nowhere received an email stating my provider cancelled my reservation and was unable to find another provider to transfer the rental. Well, YEAH! The rental was needed in three days. With that short of notice, the odds of finding another one to rent are slim. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. To think that I booked this so far in advance and counted on it only for it to be cancelled DAYS before. So, no reservation is guaranteed. Will not be using again. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2024-02-08* I wouldn’t recommend baby quip. The person we rented baby gear from never responded to my message for an order change. I cancelled the order as we needed to figure out what to do. We decided to just but the stuff we needed. Only then she sent me a message… ### 1/5 — Stole My Money *2023-12-20, version 1.1.9* Shady business practice. I had a booking scheduled. Then decided we didn’t need the items I selected. I canceled my order well in advance of my vacation. I received a refund of the items but BabyQuip is keeping the “Service Charge” fee. $42.13 they are keeping for absolutely no reason. They claim it’s to pay for their app. Ridiculous. I’m currently disputing this but be aware. Also, tried to call customer service and no one answers you have to leave a voicemail. DO NOT RECOMMEND ### 1/5 — Non Existent Service *2023-09-01* We rented, contact had an incorrect address and no phone number to call, and is not responding to messages, then support voicemail says to give 24 hours to respond. My 1-year old needs to sleep, we have nothing for them to use, what exactly do I do for 24 hours? This service is for children equipment, this is not acceptable. ### 2/5 — Customer service is lacking *2024-06-27, version 1.1.22* I used their chat feature to get help using a promo code that was not working. Got the code from the app to get $45 off an order or $250 or more. CS representative said she wasn’t aware of any promos and asked for screenshots. After I sent screenshots she then just referred me to send an inquiry email… I tried calling the CS phone number during open hours and it went straight to voicemail… ### 2/5 — paying money to list items, really? *2023-07-17* paying $200 to list items less than $10 a day makes no sense and no small fee, how do i know my items will get rented out, how can you guarantee that with other sellers on the platform? You should allow users to list free to start and if they want to be a “quality member” then pay that fee. It makes it seem like that app is not doing well so you need to find a way to make money off people…. ### 3/5 — Delivery/pickup good, app terrible *2026-01-26* Delivery/pickup was excellent. However the app is really janky. Submitting a review in the app was difficult, for example when you try to enter the tip amount you can’t even see the number you’re typing in. I almost accidentally added a tip of $53 for this reason. Please fix the review and tip UI in the app. ### 3/5 — Breaks App Store rules but works great as a platform (Airbnb but for baby gear) *2023-11-13* But violates Apples App Store rules on promotional notifications: You need an in-app setting to disable marketing and promotional notifications aside from transactional notifications. That’s against Apple’s App Store rules. ### 5/5 — Wonderful! *2025-12-06, version 1.3.4* Wonderful experience! The equipment was easy to use and our provider even included a QR code linking to the product manual.
