I had a really disappointing experience using this app. I felt that the parent did not give me a fair chance and accused me of things without properly hearing my side of the situation. At the time, I was in the hospital, and instead of understanding my circumstances, I felt pressured and was told they would choose someone else.

I reported the situation to the app because I felt uncomfortable and taken advantage of, especially as I am only 17. Unfortunately, I felt that the app did not properly understand where I was coming from and that the parent’s side was favoured over mine. I strongly disagreed with how the situation was handled and felt that my concerns were not taken seriously.

The experience has also made me uncomfortable about sharing personal information on the platform. There have been other frustrating experiences too, such as parents leaving you on read or not responding at all.

Overall, I personally did not feel supported or protected as a young babysitter using this app. I think the platform needs to do much more to protect young users, properly investigate disputes and make sure both sides are treated fairly before making decisions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app to other young babysitters.

We followed our platform guidelines, took your concerns seriously, and spent several days communicating with you, reviewing the parent’s feedback, and making every effort to understand the situation and support all parties involved. We explained on several occasions that the matter appeared to be a misunderstanding, while also acknowledging and respecting that you may have experienced the situation differently.
Unfortunately, the communication became difficult, including allegations that we were not supporting you because you were a younger user. Our concerns and actions were based solely on the conduct demonstrated during the situation and were not related to your age.

We do not tolerate younger users being treated unfairly. We made every reasonable effort to address your concerns objectively, support you throughout the process, and handle the matter fairly and in accordance with our guidelines.
