BACchus will help users to track the Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) and to drink alcohol more mindfully and responsibly.  The main goal when developing this app was: keep it simple. Main App Modules: • BAC Here is displayed the current Blood Alcohol Content, the remaining time until sobriety, driving information and current possible body state and behaviour. User can add drinks from a various range of beverages. For accuracy user should edit drinks ABV (alcohol by volume), volume (oz/ml) and intake time. There is also the possibility to create own beverages. • WIDGETS The app provides three widgets sizes: small, medium and large, with the most detailed information about users current BAC, body state, driving information and remaining time until sobriety. • STATISTICS Users can follow the added drinks on daily basis by changing the date, to edit drinks details or to delete added drinks. There is also a sobriety chart that shows the total time of being sober, tipsy, drunk or intoxicated based on different time periods: day, week, month and year. • REACTION TEST There are randomly changing road signs and in order to measure the reaction time users have to tap on screen as soon as the STOP sign appears. • LEGAL LIMIT User can manually select the legal BAC limit based on current country or region, or it can be set from the countries list with the latest legal limits. However, if there is an outdated value users can report the error by swiping left a certain country. Based on selected legal limit users will find out or get notified when it becomes legal to drive a vehicle, but we strongly recommend to avoid driving a vehicle if there is some alcohol in the body. • PROFILE In order to get an accurate Blood Alcohol Content value, users should input their body parameters like height, weight, gender and age. All user data, including drinks history, is not shared and is stored only locally on the device. • NOTIFICATIONS User can enable/disable the following app notifications: - When the BAC is fully eliminated. - When it became legal to drive a vehicle. - On birthday, in order to remind to track the drinks if user is having a party. - On each Friday, in order to remind to track the drinks if user is going to have some. • THEMES Appearance may be switched between dark and light modes in app Settings, or it may be set accordingly to system's appearance. DISCLAIMER This app is for information purposes only. There are many factors that mean this tool cannot fully determine your BAC level, and therefore whether an individual is able to lawfully drive a vehicle. We strongly suggest that if you have any alcohol in your body: do NOT drive. As a BACchus app user, you can choose the subscription plan that best suits your needs. Our Premium Lifetime plan offers possibility to create custom beverages, edit drinks ABV and remove all ads in exchange for a single payment. In addition, 1-year and 1-month subscriptions are available for users. For your convenience, subscriptions are set to automatically renew within the 24-hour period prior to the subscription end date. You can cancel your subscription at any moment in your iTunes account settings but refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the terms. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. BACchus uses HealthKit to write Blood Alcohol Content into Health app and to read user data like height, weight, birthday and gender in order to fill the app’s Profile information. I dont know how to describe this wonderful App!!!!! The app allows me to monitor my alcohol consumption IN REAL TIME! Tomorrow at this huge party, I will have the iPad with this app! This app is LOADED! I’m going to have so much fun! Not just because of the alcohol, but with all those green blinking and rotating lights. This app is going to help me keep a VERY VERY close eye on my drinking. I recommend this app if you drink, because it helps to keep you in check. ### 4/5 — Good app but needs improvement *2023-05-06* This is my favorite app I’ve found, however it feels like a work in progress. The pie chart for sober, tipsy, and drunk goes based on the calendar, not the actual last week/month/year. The main thing that needs to be added is the ability to DELETE drinks you’ve added before. My catalogue is so massive from accidents or double entering stuff and there’s no way to delete any so it takes forever to find stuff. PLEASE make it possible to delete drink options you’ve made. Especially with OCD it’s frustrating The membership is only $1 a month and despite only drinking like twice a month, it’s worth it to me. It’s nice to be able to keep track of what you’ve had and when you’ve last drank. But this app needs major improvements to be sustainable. If it was any more than $1, I wouldn’t have the premium version ### 4/5 — Great app - a bit confusing to learn *2023-04-22* To add a drink i.e. log that I had a cocktail, I would expect to use the +plus icon. But instead it is just click “Done.” Not intuitive for me. The plus icon is for adding a custom drink, which is a nice feature. But for a custom drink, it doesn’t seem possible to change the image from a tropical cocktail. Overall this is a great app — well worth $4.99 for a yearly subscription. I’m surprised to see people complain about the fee. It’s less than buying one beer! ### 1/5 — Not the best *2023-01-01, version 1.3* I’m used to alcodroid on android and everything that costs money in this app is free on that app, with a better UI. ### 5/5 — Finally!!! *2022-12-05, version 1.3* I’ve been looking for an app like this on iOS for a long time. This is as accurate as something of this nature can be. Plus, it has a custom drink option. Please make sure you set your birthdate in Settings -> Profile. ### 2/5 — Great Concept- Poor Execution *2022-10-12, version 1.3* Downloaded this as I keep logging onto a website to calculate and get a general idea of where my BAC is before driving home. This app tried that, but even after putting down 9 drinks within 5 minutes to test the app, my BAC remained at 0%. I’ve tried it with 1 drink, 2, 3, etc and it always remained at 0%. I’ve even tried it with other drinks within their app, I also mix and matched. I always remained at zero. I gave two starts because it seems easy to use and the reaction time tester is a unique concept, but the app failed the overall objective of providing insight to calculate BAC.
