## What is BACK 2U?

Lost your keys, your wallet or your cat? Post where it went missing and everyone within 500 m is alerted. Found something? Hand it back safely, without ever sharing your name.

BACK 2U is a free, anonymous lost and found for your neighbourhood. It puts your report in front of the people who were actually there.

IF YOU LOST SOMETHING
• Post it in two minutes: a photo, a category and the spot you last had it. No personal details needed.
• Everyone nearby is alerted. People within 500 m see your post the next time they open the app.
• Get matched automatically. Every new found report within 2 km is checked against yours for 60 days.
• Offer a reward if you like, then chat anonymously and agree a public place to meet.

IF YOU FOUND SOMETHING
• Post only the basics. The category, area and time go public. Your photo and description stay private.
• Let the owner prove it. Whoever claims the item describes it to you, and someone who hasn't seen it can't.
• Reveal and return. Happy it's theirs? Share the photo, meet somewhere public, done.

WHY FOUND POSTS HIDE THE PHOTO
A photo tells a stranger exactly what to claim. Keeping it private means the real owner is the one who can describe the item unprompted. You decide when to reveal it, and to whom.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Pseudonyms, always. You get a display name. Your real name, email and phone number are never shown to anyone.
• You choose the pin. Mark where the item was, not where you live. We never ask for an address.
• Your device location stays on your phone. Only the pin you place is published.
• Report or block in one tap. Blocked people can't see your posts or message you again.
• Every chat opens with the safety basics: meet in public, never share ID numbers, never send deposits.

NO ADS, NO TRACKING, NO FEES
There are no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in this app. Posting, matching and chatting are free. If someone offers a reward, it's arranged directly between the two of you. We never process it and never take a cut.

LOST IT ON THE MOVE?
Left it on a bus, a train or in a rideshare? Describe the route and the time instead of pinning a spot, for example "Bus 22, Fillmore to Downtown, 8pm".
