## What is BackBetter?

When you have back pain, just stretching is not always the answer. The keys to developing a healthy back are ensuring you strengthen your core and mobilize your hips. This app provides a short and long routine to suit your lifestyle no matter how much time you have available.

Based on exercises from Dr Stuart McGill (McGill, 2001), a back health and rehab expert, these routines aim to build endurance in your lower back to help you live your life to the fullest.

The short routine lasts just under six minutes, and the long routine is just under 10 minutes. This app takes out all complications for how long you should do each activity. You simply press play and follow the illustrations, waiting for the non-intrusive beeps to indicate changing exercise. The more you do these routines, the easier it becomes, and the stronger your back will be.
Features:
- An easy to follow short routine
- An easy to follow long routine
- Descriptions of each exercise
- Simple illustrations
- Non-intrusive timer
*** If you experience any pain whilst doing these exercises please stop and consult a doctor. This is not a diagnostic tool and is meant for educational purposes only***

### 4/5 — Good app, poor colour scheme

*2025-05-17*

The white lettering on light green background is difficult to read for me. The app itself is quite good though.

### 5/5 — Simple and effective

*2021-11-08*

If like me you forget to stretch, this app is a great way to keep you on track.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback
