Hopefully it starts working again! Big fan! ### 1/5 — No longer supported? *2026-02-13, version 7.0* I loved this app, but it’s completely stopped working for me (freezes on the splash screen). Since it hasn’t been updated since 2024 and the support link just goes to an inactive X account, I’m assuming it’s no longer being developed or supported, but I hope I’m wrong! Backflip, if you’re out there, please let me know! ### 1/5 — No longer works *2026-02-06, version 7.0* Worked great for me for a while, but now it no longer works. When I open the app, it just stays at the logo screen. Images are not full scale and some bugs make some appear red now. The fading transition is very annoying and stupid and the wait time between images should be removed all together. ### 1/5 — A sad case of broken after fixing. *2024-12-03* Back when this app was called Shuffle i had a four star rating and was happy. No weird border on pictures, no transition on the slide, and virtually zero image failing to display. That isn’t the case anymore. Lots of things i want to see improved before and not enough words to put them. To the developers just revert back to Shuffles code. You should have it still, get rid of all this extra bloat you did and then stop touching it. ### 1/5 — Why not show photos in full screen by default?! *2024-11-23, version 3.0* The new 3.0 update from shuffle to backflip is really disappointing. ### 3/5 — Updates were not good but is improving. (Original was best) *2024-11-16* Update 1.1 - 2 stars: Well first of all there is the top bar on iOS now constantly showing which is kinda distracting, but not really my main gripe as I can hide most of it manually. What really gets me is that transition time between photos exists now. Why? It never needed to be changed that way as the app was fine the way it is, in fact it was better. I guess it’s tolerable but I just think the wait time is a bit excessive as sometimes it takes way to long to go through each individual photo considering you can’t set your shuffling to a specific album. My recommendation, revert the transition time back to the way it was and add an option to select specific albums or at the very least, allow selected photos instead of all photos as an alternative option. Upon going into the app after like a minute it just crashed. And I thought that was just a one time occurrence but I went in again and again and it crashes within a couple minutes. This simple app used to be a 5 star before the update as it never had ANY of these issues at all. Now it’s being demoted to a 2 star until these issues get resolved in an update I hope to come. 1.2 Update - 3 Stars: Improved the time between images and most crashes but because of the fade animation kept results in most crashes especially on update 1.1. I say just remove the fading or just restore the app back to its original 1.0 state as it was best then. I also did notice on update 1.1 that smaller sized images now appear smaller. Update 1.2 they now appear off centered from the screen and sometimes bugs other images to make them appear smaller. Also the share button does not work although it worked before on version 1.0 like everything else. I say just restore the app back to 1.0 with the fading transitions removed from the updates to eliminate crashing, or for the very least, have it as an option to turn off the fading transitions between images. However, keep the better zoom range from update 1.2 as that was a good thing to have. The developer is great fixing what needs to be fixed so I’m sure it’s possible for a miracle as I do like using this app with friends more often than I’d like to admit.
