What's New in Backloggr

1.9.6

October 22, 2026

Backloggr, now all over your iPhone • Ask Siri: "What should I play next in Backloggr?" gives you the same pick as Home. You can also start a timer or mark a game as finished – no need to open the app. All three are in the Shortcuts app, too. • Interactive widgets: start the timer right from the Next Up widget, and rate finished games straight from Recently Completed. • Find games with Spotlight: search for any game in your library from the Home Screen (iOS 18 and later). • Never miss a release: add the release date of a wishlist game to your calendar with one tap. • Handy tips: short hints show you hidden features like quick actions and customizing Home. Smarter stats, livelier Community • An honest Backlog Calculator: your completion pace now counts the games you finished in the last 12 months, so "Backlog clears in" shows a realistic number. • Backlog Aging fixed: games keep the date you added them, even after restoring your library on a new device. The status chart in Statistics now matches your library, too. • Wrapped is back: open your yearly recap from the top of Statistics. • A livelier Community: the feed shows far more of what players are up to, sorted by day, with Playing Right Now at the top. Likes on reviews save again, and Top Levels shows everyone's current level. More reliable, more private • Your data, safer: deleted games and sessions stay deleted, and a failed sync no longer empties your trophy list. Your notes and verdicts are now private to you. • Timer fixes: stopping a paused timer from the Lock Screen no longer counts the break, starting a new session never drops the one that's running, and pausing or resuming on the Lock Screen shows up in the app right away. • Smoother imports: PlayStation and Xbox stay connected, matches are more accurate (no more DLC mix-ups or duplicates), and Steam custom profile URLs work. Xbox achievements now show their real unlock dates. • Right on time: release dates show the correct day wherever you are, and streaks survive time zone changes and daylight saving time. • Safer deleting: removing a game asks first. Deleting your account removes all your data and disconnects Sign in with Apple. • Plus a faster Library, game pages and stats, more reliable messages, better VoiceOver support and more translated text. Finishing a game with a swipe now syncs to your profile. Feedback? We read everything: Settings → Send Feedback

User reviews

Keeps my history

It's cool to see a timeline of what I played last year. It's like a diary but for gaming. I forgot I even finished that one horror game back in January until I checked my list.

Fast and responsive

App opens quickly and searching doesn't lag at all. I hate slow apps but this one feels very native and snappy. Perfect for a quick update after a gaming session.

Love the wishlist

I use the wishlist feature to keep track of upcoming releases I'm hyped for. It's much better than having a messy notes app page full of random titles and dates.

Solid search feature

The database is huge. I haven't found a single obscure indie game that wasn't already in there. It makes adding my weird itch.io finds really easy and quick.

Great for RPG fans

I play a lot of long RPGs and it takes me months to finish one. This keeps my progress clear and helps me keep track of which ones I've dropped and which ones I'm still committed to.
