## What is Backstage Sidekick?

Anyone who's modded a live show knows the loop: welcome people in, push the follow,
hype the giveaway, ask the winner's size, thank the raid — the same twenty messages,
typed over and over, all night.

Backstage Sidekick puts that whole loop on one tap.

It's a free helper for Whatnot mods, co-hosts, and sellers. Open your show inside
Sidekick and a side panel rides along with your phrase deck. Tap a phrase, it lands
in chat. That's it — no account, no sign-up, no charge.

YOUR PHRASE DECK, YOUR WORDS
Comes loaded with the lines real mods actually post — welcomes, follow + bookmark
pushes, giveaway hype, GG congrats, prebid and Buy It Now callouts. Every phrase is
editable, and you can add your own categories. Fill-in-the-blank phrases prompt you
for the username or item, then post clean.

SIZES + EMOJI, ONE TAP
A row of size chips posts "sz 8" style callouts — and the chips themselves are
editable, so a sneaker mod's deck can read "M8 W10" while an apparel mod's reads
XS–XL. Emoji walls land with a tap. Taps stack, so
"Welcome in! and emojis " builds one message before you send.

WHO TO THANK
The moments that deserve a shoutout scroll past fast. While your show is open,
Sidekick keeps a running list of them — raids, tips, giveaway winners — so you can
thank every one by name and check them off. End of show, you get a recap.

WORKS YOUR WAY
Taps can post straight to chat, or just fill the box so you press send. Prefer to
keep chat in another app? Flip to Copy mode and every tap copies the phrase to your
clipboard instead.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. Everything Sidekick tracks about a show stays on your device — nothing
is uploaded anywhere. You sign in to Whatnot directly with Whatnot; Sidekick never
sees your password.

Made by Backstage, the crew behind the seller tools at backstagelive.app — built by
watching real mods run real shows, and free because great mods make every show
better.

Backstage Sidekick is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by,

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-25

Your phrases travel with you. Export your quick phrases to a file, edit them or add new ones, then bring them back in.

Add names in bulk. Add a whole batch of names at once instead of one at a time, and jot a note under any name so you remember who's who.

Tips and boosts go to the right person. Some were being credited to the wrong name. Fixed.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-05

Sheets stay where they belong. Editing your wording, the recap, and the welcome card no longer disappear behind the show. This was the big one.

Tap a name to copy it. In Shout-outs, tap anyone's name to copy their @handle. Tap it again and it drops straight into the chat box, ready to send.

A clearer queue. The list now shows who's up next, what number everyone is in line, and warns you when three or more people are still waiting to be thanked.

Handles that actually tag. Every thank-you now sends exactly one @handle, so mentions link to the person instead of landing as plain text.

Sponsors are easier to catch. "Bless the chat" now matches listings named differently, like "Bless Chat!", so fewer sponsors slip past.

Make it yours. Add and remove your own emoji, edit the thank-you wording, and get out of edit mode from the bottom of the list instead of scrolling back up.

/hide, next to /announce. Pick either one to put in front of what you send.

A recap worth keeping. When the show ends you get a card with the night's totals and a Copy button, so you can show the host what you handled.

Clear means a fresh show. Clearing now wipes prebids and your name list too, not just the thank-you list, so last show's queue never carries over.

Your call-out list speaks up. If nobody has matched your keyword yet, it says so, instead of looking like a quiet night.

Help is built in. New Help screen: tell us what went wrong and we'll read it.

Faster to open. Fonts are bundled, so the panel no longer waits on the network.
