Can you make reversed nonsense sound like a real word?

Backwords is a delightfully strange word and party game. Listen to a mystery word played in reverse, imitate what you hear, then flip your recording to discover what you actually said.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Listen to the backwards word.
2. Hold to record your best imitation.
3. Reverse your attempt and enjoy the reveal.
4. Save the result or share it with friends.

WAYS TO PLAY

• Daily Challenge — Take on a new mystery each day and keep your streak alive.
• Free Play — Create custom words and hints, add players, and pass the phone around.
• Party Packs — Play ready-made themed rounds for game night.
• Reverse Video — Record a short clip and reverse the entire thing.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your camera and microphone recordings are processed on your device. Backwords does not require an account, upload your recordings, display advertisements, or track you across apps. A recording leaves Backwords only when you choose to save or share it using iOS.

An internet connection may be required to download daily content and Party Packs. Camera and microphone access are required to record. Photos access is requested only when you choose to save a video.
