I played this game in the previous version when it was called Triads and had a blast. Figured I’d try to download the newer version of this game, but was disappointed to find out it crashes too easily. I worked toward getting the Battle Bus before doing the campaign, but now it crashes each time I start the mission Hold The Line. I’d rate it 1/5 stars for that, but I still enjoyed the little bit of game I had.

Unfortunately the development process itself has put me in a tight corner (financially speaking), so any major updates will greatly rely on support from the fan base at this point.

Can you fix the crashes? I don’t know is the cause of it, at first everytime I tried back by out of like the load game tab, it just crashes, now everytime I open the game it’ll crash after like 5 seconds in, idk what’s the issue but can you please check on it, the game is fun but the crashing just keeps happening and causing me to lose progress, I’m playing on a 13 pro max

I played this game through and really enjoyed it.  Nice take on the GTA feel without being a total clone. I liked the variety of vehicles, weapons, and troopers.  

I found the tutorial incomplete and misleading.  I went through the tank mission without ever figuring out how to fire the main gun.  Eventually I bought a tank and figured it out.  The driving controls felt really awkward at first, but I got used to them.  Flying is fun, and that was a nice compromise of complexity and automation.

I bought a zeppelin, but I've never seen it.  I don't know where to find it or how to summon it.

The game did crash a couple of times.  the small airport air taxi missions always crashed on me, and there were a couple of other less predictable crashes.  

Missions and side tasks were a lot of fun.

Regarding the Zeppelin, it should be hovering right next to the garage. You can reach it by exiting the garage, through the door that leads to the outside, then make a right turn. If this seems confusing, just walk along the outside walls of the hideout and you should definitely spot it. The Zeppelin allows you to board and exit it pretty much anywhere, no landing required.

You are right, the tutorials do need some work. Will try to improve / add some new ones and will also look into the Air Taxi mission crash you have mentioned (should be fixed with the next update). The more random crashes will probably require more crash data to accumulate before they can be addressed.

A great game if you miss the top-down gameplay of the original GTA. The story isn't amazing, but it's serviceable. The main draw is the gameplay. Killing swarms of enemies is great fun, especially once you unlock more weapons and fill out your squad.

Got this game when I heard the developer of Space Borders was making a new game. While very different from space borders, still a solid game that has kept me entertained for days. Keep doin what your doin!

At the first look it seemed cheaply made, but after playing it for a while you realize how smooth the game is. I just have one question, how do I shoot the tank cannon?😂

edit 2: the recent update seemed to fix the big issues i've had with the game, and it ran smoothly all the way to an expected crash about an hour and a half later. finally i can get back to crushing triads :)
edit: i'm using an ipad mini 4 with SD models and shadows disabled. a device reset did fix the issues, and surprisingly the game runs well afterwards with less hiccups. thank you! :D 

here's my original review: 
this is my third time writing this up, ugh. this is a very fun gta/payback type game, with its own cool story and a variety of weapons and vehicles and whatnot. what sets it apart are the squad mechanics and city takeovers, at max difficulty it gets much harder to escape high level police encounters and triad swarms (have medics ready!).
there are a good handful of bugs that break the game though. and they're REALLY annoying. half of the time if you open the map (especially if you're in battle or in an area that uses lots of memory) the game crashes, editing your faction icon also makes the game crash, and driving on the freeway or in a town... you can fill in the rest. there's also this other bug in my gameplay, and it gives me a "Loading..." notification before crashing from seconds to a minute later. now, though, i'm having a fifth bug, and it's where the game crashes right when it loads a save file, or even when i enter the main menu first thing after loading the game. the game at this point is unplayable :(
hopefully these bugs get resolved soon. a fun hidden gem of the app store this game is

Thank you very much for sharing this. While this is indeed very frustrating, the good news is that all the issues you are describing are likely caused by a lack of memory, rather than a plethora of bugs.

I have encountered this issue once myself (after making a very long screen recording that was never saved for some reason) and the solution back then was quite simple. While it might sound uninspired, I'd like to ask you to try restarting your device and see if the problem persists afterwards. It might seem like a long shot, but this actually worked for me under very similar circumstances.

There is no denying that the game requires quite a bit of memory (~400-700MB), which shouldn't be a problem on any device supporting iOS 13 or higher, but could be pushing older iOS devices like the iPad Air (1st gen), or the iPhone 6. I'll investigate possible ways to further reduce the memory profile of the game.

If you are using an older model, you can decrease memory use by changing "Textures" to "SD" and "Models" to "LOW" from Settings -> Video. You will barely notice a quality difference, especially if you're playing on an iPhone.

Hope any of this helps. Let us know if a device restart fixes the issue. Also, would you mind sharing the device model you are using?

So pretty much, this game is amazing, I absolutely love it. However, recently when I have tried to enter the game it just closes it, same happens when I click on the “Faction” tab in the settings.
Might have to do with the new update, not sure.

Regarding the issues you are having, there was a bug that could lead to a startup crash in v2.0.0. Try updating to the more recent v2.0.1, should hopefully fix it. Can we have a update on the gangs like setting boundaries/ taxing other smaller gangs / generals that control cities for you but can rebel against you if you don’t meet the demands of the city / and shoot on sight so less enemies free roam your blocks

Very fun open world game that scratches the top down shooter itch quite well. Feels a little bit like GTA, very few Ads, fun combat, and engaging progression with a lot of jobs to do and weapons/cars/upgrades to collect. Well worth playing!
