Aligns with the board automatically. Checks legal moves. Allows you to move pieces or manually reset if it gets it wrong.

Does require your iphone/ipad to be mounted in one place though.

Only feature I could wish for is some way of live streaming the game into another program for analysis via gtp or similar.

This app is excellent and fun to use!  The software finds the edges of the board pretty well, but just in case that fails it allows you to calibrate the corners and get it accurate.  Multiple scoring methods are included too.  

The live recording is nice too, and I can’t wait to try that feature with my club games.  The game can be exported via e-mail to open in other apps such as PandaNet.

Things to keep in mind: scoring is an extra $1 and live play recording an extra $5.  $10 total was ok for me as it performs the tasks as advertised.

Gerade zum Go-Lernen aus einem Buch: Problem fotografieren, kurz überprüfen, in sgf Editor transferieren, analysieren. Super. Hab‘s noch nicht mit echtem Brett probiert, aber mit Buch funktioniert die App tadellos. (Finde allerdings nix zum In-App kaufen)

This works incredibly well. And it's great for beginning players as it's hard to identify each player's territories consistently at first. 

This app makes it easy to identify stones that are dead as they stand, and makes scoring a breeze. 

Everything appears to be well thought out and thoroughly tested. Amazing job!

Works well with 9x9 beginner boards too!

It does require knowledge of the game to make sense of everything. The authors might create mini tutorial based on the game and the intricacies of scoring. For instance, I didn't fully notice or appreciate at first that each point with an opponent's stone on it that is dead as it stands is worth 2 (one point for the area of territory that is rightfully yours and the other point for the stone itself).

This is a bait an switch. Scoring games is an in app purchase. This is NOT made clear in the app description. This is highly unethical marketing.

I paid $3.99 for this app thinking that it can do what its advertised, but to use the functions you’ll have to pay extra money. So I paid $3.99 just to install the app that does nothing unless I pay more.

用的是数目法，最后还要输入各方吃掉的子数才能准确计算胜负。记错了一个提子都影响结果。很不好用，出错率很高，为什么不改为直接数子呢？

**Developer response:** 只有在设置了规则 '日本' 或者 'AGA (数目法)'的情况下, （输入的）死子才会影响对局结果，
如果你选了规则 '中国', 'AGA (数子法)', '应氏' 或者 '新西兰'，死子不会影响到对局结果，因此你并不需要输入死子。

I didn’t like that I had to pay £3.99 for the app itself before I even knew whether it would work, and then once inside it turned out I had to pay another £0.99/year subscription to score the game. (This knocked off a star in my review.) BUT the actual app works great, I’ve had no problems so far. 

 I’m a beginner and this takes a lot of stress out of figuring out scoring!

  The only way it could be better is if the scoring was included in purchase price but to be fair the price is negligible.

This app is purpose built for a wide variety of useful situations regarding playing Go!

I think a lot of the functionality and processes in the app are well thought out, but the developer is open to feedback and improving it.

New Added that are incredibly useful and I think the app as well worth it’s one time purchase. If you play Go, download this for sure.  

NEW: On the iPads and iPhones with USB-C, you can now plug-in a USB-C WebCam, which is much lighter than mounting an iPad or iPhone for a live recording and SGF of your game.

BadukCap is easy to use and accurate. For quickly scoring games this app works great. I especially love how simple and fast the image recognition works which doesn’t require any calibration from the user. This is a wonderful tool for regular play and can be a great asset for any tournament director. I’m more than happy to pay for this app and support the development that went into it. Thanks!

Been using this app for many many years now and is absolutely fantastic! For anyone who is new to Go this app is invaluable as the scoring component is probably the hardest part for someone who didn’t grow up playing. I’ve also used the export SGF function to capture hundreds of go problems to import into other apps.
