## What is Baker's % Calculator?

Weekend sourdough shouldn't mean bad math. Bakerate scales any bread recipe to the exact loaf count, weight, or hydration you need — and gets the starter math right every time.

WHAT IT DOES

• Scale to any size — enter a target weight, loaf count, or pick a pan preset, and every ingredient recalculates instantly in true baker's percentages.
• Correct starter math — toggle "true hydration" to fold your starter's own flour and water into the total, the way real bakers do it, not the way most calculators fake it.
• Bake time, scaled too — bigger batch doesn't mean guessing at the oven. Time and temperature adjust with the recipe.
• Grams or ounces — switch units per recipe, no re-entering anything.
• A real recipe library — save your own recipes alongside a starter set of sourdough, enriched, and whole-wheat formulas, with search and category filters.
• Track what you bake — log each bake, build a streak, and watch your baking stats grow over time.
