The in store buy it myself, don’t need a personal shopper to pick out my purchase is third place. We save you money driving to the store shop go home and enjoy the trip. Very slow app ### 1/5 — Always logs me out *2024-07-05* This is a super frustrating app! It constantly logs me out and does not offer the ability to login with Face ID. And then, either to save money or pretend that they have the best security in the industry, they choose not to use a normal password requirement. So I always have to guess five different tries to login resulting in me getting locked out of my account. Today this resulted in me driving to the store for my pick up wherein I was questioned as to why I was there because I was trying to get logged into the app. Super frustrating! **Developer response:** Hi there! Navigation on this app is like trying to solve a rubrics cube! ### 3/5 — Meh *2023-11-26, version 64.1* It works but is missing simple features like saving filter preferences, searches brings back a lot of unrelated things, and the photos are potato quality so you can’t actually read any details on the packaging. Hy-Vee’s app is WAY better. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work with store’s emails *2023-11-16* The app works well if you are lucky enough to remember everything on the first try. Good luck if you want to modify that order. Placed a delivery order today (a week before Thanksgiving) because it was the only way I could get one of the ingredients I need for Thanksgiving. Got the email confirming the order. Clicked on the link in the email to add a few things I forgot. The link takes you to the website NOT THE APP to update the order. Once there, it tries to set up a different delivery time and charge you another fee. Had to spend nearly 20 minutes on the phone with customer service to find the place in the APP where I could modify my order. I have experienced this several times with Baker’s — things are completely different on the app and the website/emails. Someone needs to learn how to coordinate this, test links, and make sure people have the correct information! FYI, I have 27 years of web desogn experience. This system is a disaster for usability and needs to be reviewed from top to bottom. ### 1/5 — Boost does not work… at all. *2023-10-14, version 63.1* I paid $60 for Boost to have my groceries delivered and the app won’t let me select my address - I get an, “unknown error has occurred,” error. I live 5 minutes from the store but wanted to try this for the convenience. So far, it has been anything but convenient and seems to be a waste of time and money. ### 1/5 — You need to look at Target's site *2023-10-12, version 63.1* I appreciate being able to see my coupons applied BEFORE checking out and being able to only search in-store items. I also find it annoying that Bakery items are not available on the app. I highly recommend reviewing the way Target does pickup. The app has been having “technical difficulties” for three months now. It’s getting old. ### 1/5 — Nonfunctional *2026-04-18, version 93.1.0* Clearly there was no UI/UX assessment for this app. It fails in its core functions. The app is too busy and crammed with icons to find the standards for a grocery app: ad, coupons, and cart. If you can find the search button to shop, results are irrelevant. Example: I searched for carrots. The first item returned was basil. 🤦‍♂️ Beyond that, the provided buttons in the app just don’t work. There’s an option to rate your order from the order history. Now you have to first add items to the list, then go into the list to adjust counts. So much more clunky and inconvenient this way. Bring back the ability to search for items while in the list ### 1/5 — Every couple of months I cannot log in. It says access denied. Then finally one day I can log in. *2025-12-11, version 89.1.0* Sucks ### 1/5 — Updated app *2025-11-21, version 88.1.0* Bakers is one of my go-to stores. Absolutely HATE the new updated app!!! Too difficult to research. Too small images. Change isn’t necessarily better. This change is awful. ### 1/5 — Updates make app unusable *2025-11-01* A grocery store app’s main purpose is to deliver the ad and coupons. Both are now incredibly hard to find. They shrunk the icons and added so much clutter. I don’t shop at the main competitor in my area because of how terrible their app makes clipping digital coupons. Why would Baker’s copy that experience? Added to that, the search results are now useless returning products that aren’t even close to what I want. The new app makes it much harder to place a pickup order. Obviously no UX testing. ### 1/5 — Whatever you Did didn’t Work *2025-10-29, version 87.2.1* The app glitches, restarted it and can’t search anything. My time is valuable too. ### 1/5 — The app is now SO much worse *2025-10-25* You know how grocery stores, yes - including Bakers, periodically completely rearrange the items on their shelves with the stated intent of making items “…easier to find”, but they manage only to COMPLETELY CONFUSE all of their customers for a month, or so, until the customers are able to RE-find all of their normal shopping items? Well, that’s what they did with the recent update with their app. It possesses nothing truly New and Improved in it, but it sure confuses all of its normal users for a long time until either: Baker’s incrementally puts it back the way it was, its customers eventually get used to all of the useless changes, or they simply give up and stop using it.
