## What is Baketsu?

# A Simple Bucket List
Baketsu lets you create bucket lists for all your city travel destinations. Once you arrive, you can easily find the closest places from your list, and then check them off after your visit.

# Privacy-Conscious
We do not collect any data. Everything is stored safely in your iCloud.

# Calm and Focused
Baketsu is a focused experience, mindful of your time and attention. It doesn't aim to compete with your maps or guide app. It's a bucket list, designed with clear intent.

# Ready When You Are
A quiet moment in a bustling city. Coffee in one hand, your phone in the other. You pull up Baketsu and it shows the closest places from your list. That's the app.

# Free and Ad-Free
Baketsu is free and ad-free, and doesn't have in-app purchases. We also don't use any tracking in the app.

# Travel Agent
Ask about the city you’re visiting and get suggestions from Apple Maps, with short Wikipedia summaries. Add a place to your bucket with one tap. Travel agent runs on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence, so your questions stay private.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-15

Swipe directions have swapped. Swipe right to check a place off, swipe left to delete it. This is how most iPhone apps work, so it should (hopefully) feel more natural.

Places you have visited keep their names in full now, with no line through them. Small tweak in preparation for bigger changes to how you can browse already visited places.

Small spacing fixes throughout, including the empty gap that used to sit at the bottom of your lists sometimes.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-22

Improved City Search: destinations that wouldn't resolve properly before now work instantly.

New Place Categories: hotels, civic buildings, sports and recreation, and transport now each get their own icon, so more of what you save lands in the right group.

Filter Your Buckets: once you've saved more than a handful, a search field helps you jump straight to the city you're looking for.

Smaller Bug Fixes: addressing issues with the settings sheet and minor layout glitches in the places list.
