## What is Balance Factor's Food Lover?

Balance Factor’s Food Lover App introduces the Balance Factor – the only tool you will ever need to identify the macronutrient value of a food or meal. Knowing a food’s Balance Factor (BF) helps you control the percentage of carbohydrates you eat at every meal to help you burn excess body fat. 

Food Lover instantly pairs high carbohydrate foods with a low carbohydrate food and calculates the perfect quantity to balance your meal. Balanced eating is the age-old way of keeping your blood sugars stable, your insulin in control, and preventing the accumulation of body fat.

Food Lover assigns a Balance Factor to the Nutrition Facts label on the foods you wish to eat. A Balance Factor close to ‘0’ indicates a food or meal that contains approximately 40-45% carbohydrates. A Balance Factor less than ‘0’ indicates foods lower in carbohydrates. This app uses a Nutrition Facts label to display calories and allows you to adjust serving sizes to calculate and optimize the percentage of carbohydrates you wish to eat.

 Dr. D. Ludwig of Harvard University suggests eating whole foods that contain 25-40% carbohydrates to “conquer cravings, retrain fat cells (to burn fat), and lose weight permanently”.
