## Newest reviews (10 of 210)

### 3/5 — Useful information

*2026-05-25, version 2.3.0*

The balance app is full of useful information and I have learned a lot, however it is restricted, as to gain access to videos and other parts of the app there is a charge and a monthly subscription, which I think then makes you think they just want you to subscribe. This makes me doubt the validity of the information or the true intention.

### 3/5 — I want to like it

*2026-05-24, version 2.3.0*

I want to like this, but I can’t get it to integrate with my Apple Health.

### 3/5 — Hate latest changes

*2026-05-20, version 2.3.0*

The most recent changes make the calendar very hard to read. To the point of being useless. Too much information, too cluttered and made my favorite feature of the app, my least favorite.

### 3/5 — Not too bad

*2026-05-15, version 2.2.5*

There’s is a lot of information, also a bit too much items to input. I find the daily journal a bit annoying instead of being able to log a period in one go.

### 2/5 — Hate the new update

*2026-05-10, version 2.2.5*

I’ve used this app for years to log my periods and hrt medication schedule using the notes. It worked really well for me. Since the new update has amalgamated the symptom tracker with the period track it is so difficult and clunky to use, I hate it. You can’t click a date on the calendar to log any info, you have to click log period and then find the date you want to add things for manually. In the overview mode you can no longer just click on the note for a historic date to see what you wrote. Will be looking for a different period tracker app now unless the issues are sorted soon.

### 3/5 — Bug in latest version

*2026-05-08, version 2.2.5*

It tries to calculate period length, but doesn’t do it correctly when a period spans 2 separate calendar months.

New interface is annoying when you’ve forgotten to log a couple days and are trying to catch up. Also, why is period way at the bottom?

### 2/5 — Used to love it, but this update is awful.

*2026-05-08, version 2.2.5*

The new “Insights Calendar” is showing a different, incorrect, set of data from the “Cycle History” calendar. Also, I can’t click on a date in the “Cycle History” view to see what I noted on that date. NOT happy with this update!

### 1/5 — Lost data

*2026-05-07, version 2.2.5*

Just lost two months of period tracking data, not super happy with this app

### 4/5 — Preferred it before the update

*2026-05-07, version 2.2.5*

I used to be able to see the heaviness of my periods on a calendar which was useful as the heavy “first day” isn’t necessarily at the start for me. Now the feature has disappeared do it’s difficult to use as a planner. I like the feature to print a report for the GP. I find the new layout overwhelming.

### 1/5 — New version is missing info

*2026-05-06, version 2.2.5*

Latest version makes it impossible to see the history of data I logged. Wish I hadn’t used Balance as now I don’t have the data I need for an important appointment.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — useless

*2026-07-18, version 2.3.2*

This app is useless and is emotionally driven rather than logically. I wanted an app to track and make notes on ovulation & menstruation & it doesn’t do that, it just tracks daily mood & pre selected symptoms. A pen & piece of paper is more useful

### 1/5 — Wasn’t there a Dispatches investigation on this programme?

*2026-06-09, version 2.3.1*

Pls clarify the outcome. Trust is important in healthcare 🙏

### 1/5 — Cycle tracking missing !

*2026-06-03, version 2.3.1*

Please fix

### 1/5 — Awful changes!

*2026-05-28, version 2.3.0*

Why oh why oh why have you changed the journal section? I’ve used this app for about 3 years to track my periods and it was great! Now you’ve changed it and it’s clunky and awkward. Before I could clearly see all the months of the year just by scrolling! Now I can only see one month at a time and logging your flow is also now more time consuming! Absolutely terrible. It was fine just as it was!

### 1/5 — Journal change

*2026-05-21, version 2.3.0*

Journal period tracker used to be a super simple layout but the new update is not user friendly at all.

### 1/5 — Awful!

*2026-05-11, version 2.2.5*

What on earth have they done to the app. It’s terrible. You can’t keep track like you used to and for those who have gone through the menopause it’s pretty much useless. I really don’t understand how it has high reviews. I’m so disappointed.

### 1/5 — Deleted all my past data and the easy to see calendar

*2026-05-11, version 2.2.5*

Went to log my period and my data and calendar is gone. I don’t want to spend ages logging mood, sleep etc.. it was so easy & helpful before. Deleted & gone elsewhere

### 1/5 — Update has lost my data

*2026-05-10, version 2.2.5*

This app was useful for logging my period so I could keep track. It has now been updated and all the tracking I have done over the last 6-12 months is gone. Plus the new layout is not as intuitive as the old. Very annoying

### 1/5 — So disappointed by latest upgrade

*2026-05-09, version 2.2.5*

Can no longer scroll months (periods), click into days in calendar view to add retrospectively or review notes which was super helpful when discussing with doctor. Years of data which is now extremely hard to review or extract. More fiddly to add/edit/days retrospectively, cluttered with other diary content I’m not interested in :(

### 1/5 — Horrendous update

*2026-05-09, version 2.2.5*

This app was recommended to me by my doctor over 3 years ago. I have used this app religiously since and been great, no problems . Came on today to log symptoms, period and to generate a report for my upcoming appointment at docs and noticed there had been an update and all my 3 years of information GONE!! Horrible update , much more difficult to use and navigate . I’ve deleted it now

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So helpful

*2026-08-07, version 2.3.2*

I have learnt so much from this app and been so reassured. HRT can be a minefield but not with this!

### 5/5 — The go to for any woman

*2026-08-06*

My only wish would be that EVERY woman knows this exists and that they have access to it. Finally a tool that mixes knowledge and experiences shared by a community of women going through women only issues.

### 5/5 — Support useful, highly recommend

*2026-07-25, version 2.3.2*

Have been using the free version over a few years. At first it was amazing to see such a long list of symptoms I'd never been aware of. I would also note that a couple of the symptoms listed don't align with the experience of myself and friends. One example is "increased alcohol tolerance" Many of us have experienced the complete opposite and can no longer drink alcohol. The best feature for me is that I can return to daily symptom logging wherever I notice symptoms have changed a bit. It's so helpful to get a picture of what's going on. Best of all you can print out a report to show your doctor or specialist. The short, easy to read articles were incredibly helpful early on. Also highly recommend joining what they call experiments. For example I had terrible hot flushes and night sweats even on hormone replacement. I joined an experiment to increase water drinking and the symptoms got dramatically better. I've kept it up ever since. You can learn so much from these experiments that are going on. You just click to anonymously join. There no data collected or anything. It really does give you a sense of community when you read the posts and comments by others.

### 5/5 — The go to app for women’s health

*2026-07-02, version 2.3.2*

In a world of White Noise and conflicting information the Balance app provides information based on scientific facts, not fear. It should be a first stop for all women and health professions managing women.

### 5/5 — Ell

*2026-06-24, version 2.3.1*

Really good and helpful to see the changes in my body and mind going through the peri menopause. The various area you can check is fab

### 5/5 — Perfect app for logging periods and symptoms

*2026-05-28, version 2.3.0*

Loads of great features including period logging, symptom tracking and lots of articles and help. Awesome service too as I fed back that one of the recent updates had changed the way the app had been working really well for me. They contacted me straight away and adapted the app so I could use it in my preferred way again. Love brands that listen to people’s feedback and act on it fast! Awesome - Thank you!!

### 5/5 — So informative!!

*2026-05-21, version 2.3.0*

Highly recommend this app if you want to start or further your education in the endocrine system and all things menopause🙌🏽

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-05-14, version 2.2.5*

Excellent app really helpful full of information

### 5/5 — Amazing resource

*2026-05-07, version 2.2.5*

Finally a one stop shop for cutting edge information and research on women’s health, hormones and post breast cancer care.

### 5/5 — Another star when notes is added or custom symptoms

*2026-05-02, version 2.2.5*

Love this app, full of great support, advise and support even extras that you can pay for. But I need notes in the symptoms section please! Some days things happen that need to be noted but can’t be added. It may not be menopause related but it could be important for overall health as well as early signs of something a medical professional needs to know. Please add this. Thank you
May 2026 - update has what I asked for above! Yay! Extra star added ⭐️
