## What is Balance?

Every tile holds a number. Every tile needs to hold the same number.

Tap a tile to select it. Tap a neighbor to shift one unit of weight in that direction. Repeat until every cell on the grid shows the same value. Learn it in seconds. Spend weeks mastering it.

Grids grow from 3×3 to 4×4 as you progress. Numbers start small and get unapologetically large. Every puzzle has a clean, solvable solution - but finding the shortest path is where the real game begins.

MATHEMATICALLY PRECISE TARGET

Balance doesn't just count your moves - it uses the Hungarian Algorithm, an optimization method from operations research originally designed to solve the "job assignment" problem, to calculate the mathematical minimum moves required to solve every board in real time. That number is your target.

Three Stars - solve in ≤110% of optimal moves
Two Stars - solve in ≤150% of optimal moves
One Star - you finished it
Perfect Badge - solve in exactly the optimal number of moves

The move targets for each rating are displayed below the board while you play. No guessing. No arbitrary thresholds.

NO ADS. NO TIMERS. NO NETWORK REQUIRED.

Pay once. Play forever. Balance works entirely offline - on a plane, in the subway, wherever you think clearest. No subscription. No progression locks. The only optional purchase is a tip jar for players who want to support independent development. Everything in the game is fully unlocked from the first launch.

The interface is deliberate and minimal. Your attention belongs on the numbers - not on the chrome around them.
