One rating, a bronze, silver or gold tier, and your six competitions broken out. Save it as an image or send it straight to the group chat: the card your mates see is the card sitting on your profile. • Stadiums — a new mode. Name every ground in five leagues, from memory. Clubs carry their own colours now, and you can hide them for a harder run. • Everyone gets their own look. Players without a photo no longer share the same grey circle. • Transfer Trail and Mystery Player — the keyboard no longer sits on top of the list of names. Drag the list and it gets out of your way. • Names are accepted the way you would actually type them, including names like Son Heung-min. • Club Quiz is grouped by country now, so your club is where you would look for it. • Switching tabs is instant. • Reporting a question asks what was wrong with it — the answer, the wording, or that it gave itself away. • The moment right after you answer looks like part of the game again, instead of a form error. • Every button acknowledges your tap. • A club appearing twice in a career is marked as a return, so it no longer reads as a mistake. • Footle asks for "the name a footballer goes by", because sometimes it is Pelé. No more spelling a player perfectly just to make a guess. • A sharper Mystery Player ranking. Era now counts, so a keeper from the answer's own generation reads as close as he should be. • Thousands of players were listed with a club they had already left. Their current clubs are now correct. • Fixed a bug that could leave the app stuck on the loading screen with no connection. ### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-11 TRANSFER TRAIL — A NEW DAILY GAME A player's career is revealed one club at a time and you name him before the trail runs out. The fewer clubs you need, the more points you get. New player every day. CLUB QUIZZES NO LONGER SPOIL THEMSELVES Two questions in the same round could hand each other the answer away. It was happening in more than a quarter of club sessions. Now it happens in none. TWO NEW CLUB PACKS Santos and Real Sociedad, checked question by question like every other pack. QUESTIONS THAT CAN'T GO STALE Records and all-time leaders are now tied to a date, so the day a record falls, a right answer doesn't quietly turn into a wrong one. Footle opens straight on the puzzle. The explainer is gone (the board teaches itself), and every answer is now 5-8 letters. Online multiplayer earns XP toward your level — it was the only mode that paid nothing. Rematch and Challenge now tell you whether your opponent was actually notified, instead of leaving you waiting in an empty lobby. Plus 329 fact-checked corrections across the question bank, a wider Footle keyboard, higher contrast text, and tap anywhere to continue once you have answered. ### 1.3.3 — 2026-07-27 A big batch of new club quizzes!
