An always on banner at ad the bottom of the screen, and interstitials after every death is overkill. It probably took me a dozen attempts to finish just the first level so I'm glad the developer shortened it to make it more beginner friendly. By the second level, I had the hang of the basics but there is always something new to keeps the difficulty.
