Ballerburg proves that simple game concepts are also the best. Two castles, a mountain - and cannons. Beat the enemy kingdoms castle by hitting its well guarded king. For each cannon shoot, angle and amount of used gunpowder has to be adjusted wisely. Changing wind and the fact, that cannonballs and gunpowder are limited resources make the battle even more interesting. As the own inhabitants are paying taxes, this money can be used to rebuild cannons and walls or buy gunpowder, cannons and derricks. But don't tax them too much, otherwise your people might join your opponent.
 
Now, all those who have been addicted to Ballerburg decades ago can play the cult classic on their iPhones - without having to get their old Ataris from attic. And the feeling will be the same as back then: we tried to get as close to the original version by Eckard Kruse as possible, which means graphics, sound and gameplay - same as 30 years ago.

Ich habe Ballerburg schon im Original auf dem ATARI ST gespielt und bin nicht enttäuscht worden. Es spielt sich wie das Original und hat nur wenige, aber sinnvolle Adaptionen für das iPhone bekommen. Sehr gelungen!

Ich liebe dieses Spiel. Wichtig: Es gibt offenbar keine inApp Käufe mehr! Das Spiel ist eine Vollversion, sehr löblich.

Die Umsetzung ist liebevoll und wirklich fast perfekt, warum nur fast? Es fehlen die beiden Umsetzungen „Computer gegen Computer“ und „Computer gegen Spieler“ (sprich, dass der Computer beginnt) … dazu gab es noch unterschiedliche Höhen der Landschaft auf beiden Seiten des Berges … 

Diese Updates wären mir sogar einen „InApp Kauf“ wert … vielleicht kommt ja noch mal ein Updates dieses wirklich genialen Klassikers!

Dies war 1988 mein allererstes Computerspiel überhaupt auf dem Atari ST und dass dies nun als App verfügbar ist, ist kultiger Spaß schlechthin 👍🏻. Und es zeigt sich, dass der Spielspaß von früher heute noch immer da ist, auch wenn das vermutlich die Millenials nicht nachvollziehen werden können 😉.

Meinen ST habe ich heute noch und ist nur noch selten in Benutzung im Gegensatz zu früher wo wir nächtelang dieses Spiel gespielt haben. Aber nun gibt es dieses geniale Spiel für's iPad und man fühlt sich wieder um 30 Jahre in der Zeit zurückversetzt. Vielen Dank.

Thank you for bringing this to IOS!! For those of us who vaguely remember the game, it is fun to go “oh yeah, now I remember”. It’s great being able to move the canons, buy powder and canon balls for sure. Not with real cash, but that is an option to do. By prepared that it can be a minimum 1 credit per win when against the AI. And double tap which canon you want to shoot.
