It is simple and easy to use and requires little set up. All you need to do is download the app and you load your bitcoin through the QR code. There is no need to worry about memorizing or losing your seed phrase or pin number. This card is great because you can keep loading your crypto through scanning the QR code. This card is 100% offline in a sense that your crypto is not actually stored on the Ballet app. The app is there for you to watch your crypto grow. The only way that your crypto can be transferred or sent to another address is by scratching the passphrase and exposing the second layer of the QR code. The top layer QR code is only for loading or adding your crypto to the card. Misconception: “Not your keys, not your coin” The protocol on how Ballet generates the private key is that after the private key is generated, they delete your information and destroy the data. They don’t store your data anywhere. Security: No matter what company you choose to store your crypto in, you still have to trust that they are a legitimate company. I like that this company CEO, Bobby Lee is the face of the company because he is well known in the crypto world and you can connect with him on Linkedin. Transaction fee: Ballet uses 3rd party services such as moonpay, simplex, and transak. You can choose any of the 3 services you want to purchase from but I recommend buying from coinbase and transferring your crypto to ballet card to save on fees. Customer support: You can only contact through email and will reply within 24 hours. They answered all of my questions thoroughly. The only con is that they don’t have a phone number. Great thing about this company is that if you don’t like your product, you can return it within 30 days of purchasing. Mobile App: The app does what it needs to do which is watch your bitcoin grow. The account will show only the primary account such as BTC, XRP or ETH. The way to access more crypto is by manually adding it. Backup and recovery: No backup or recovery. It is like owning a piece of gold, don’t lose your gold. Crypto gift card: It's great as a gift card. You can buy a 10 pack bundle and load your choice of crypto in the card and give it to friends and family. They offer a "low fee" which isn't even high enough to get confirmed on the blockchain so your transfers will be stuck forever unless you choose the faster (expensive) fee. I have a pending transfer that has been stuck for over a month and their "child pays for parent" trick does not work to get the former transfer confirmed and their support is garbage. ### 1/5 — Stay Away From Ballet!!! *2023-12-14* They will automatically make transfers without your permission after trying to transfer using the low-speed cost. I transfetred $500+ 2 weeks ago and the fee wasn't big enough so it was returned to my Ballet wallet and the next day I go in to make a new transfer with a higher fee but it was already transffered out without my permision.
