The fact that it was just brought back is like a movie style experience. Here's the story of this upgrade: when we first released BallFallDown almost 8 years ago (!), we never imagined it would still be going strong after all this time. We built it for the original iPad all those years ago, but improvements in hardware and software over the years meant that over time the original code we used was too old to work on the newer systems. Since BallFallDown no longer worked with the new iOS11 and all the BallFallDown users who upgraded to the new iOS could no longer play, we needed to completely update all the code. We didn't realize how many people were still enjoying BallFallDown until we started hearing from parents and kids everywhere how much they missed it! We were particularly touched as many special needs parents reached out directly to us. One parent told us BallFallDown was sometimes the only thing that could help them relax! Once we heard that, we realized we needed to take the time to update BallFallDown to keep it in the hands of kids (and adults) everywhere. The only thing that is different in this version, and we apologize for this, is that due to all the changes we had to make under the hood, your previous saved play areas will no longer work in the new version. We realize that you spent a lot of time on these play areas and feel terrible about this! If there was anything we could do to save them we would have.
