### 3/5 — Works well, while you keep up w/ the latest phone / ios

*2020-04-01, version 6.5.3*

I have been using this app for about 3 years. It has been extremely handy & helpful. I learned a lot about ballistics in general and its effect on my loads w/ different calibers.

Unfortunately, because I don't buy the latest iphones and I choose to stay behind the high cost curve, I seem to be a victim of app failure. After a notification of an update, I followed suit and updated. The program now crashes upon attempt to open. There was no warning about incompatibility. I sent a message to the developers, requesting a link to the older version. They insist that they are "not allowed" to offer that, and that Apple "requires" them to only support the latest version of software.

I personally doubt this is 100% accurate, since I have other apps that prevent me from updating, due to incompatibility. Nevertheless, this app was great while it lasted (for me). If they'd address this update issue, it would be worth the 5 stars. I am niw forced to look for another app.

### 4/5 — Nice, useful program

*2017-01-29, version 6.2.3*

Once you under stand the user interface, there is a lot useful pictures that can be saved by using the Favorites command.

You can start with basic trajectories and go all the way to very technical thousand yard shots.

### 3/5 — Bugs and lack of updates, support requests

*2016-12-20, version 6.2.2*

App is still buggy despite raising these issues with the developer. I am still having issues with 1. Exporting data via email. 2. Downloading current atmosphere. I'm not the only one.

Requests for popular loads such as the Hornady Precision Hunter line and new Hornady ELD and ELD-X have yet to been added. "Obscure" requests like Australian Outback loads have been ignored. When all aspects work correctly it's a great solver, wish it was updated more frequently.

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2016-08-17, version 6.2.2*

There is far more information than would be necessary for the average guy using this app for hunting (which I do).
I recommend some type of advanced tab when/if someone (a mercenary sniper) wants the full option display.

I have a hard time finding many of my ammunition listed and they are not one off companies.
I have a hard time finding the actual hornaday ammo I buy in the app.
I would love to see a more robust list of ammos.

### 2/5 — Support stinks

*2016-06-09, version 6.1.0*

The calculations are spot on if you input your own weather data. The automated weather finder used to work until last fall and now won't work at all. I emailed the support staff over a month ago and they are aware of it but it doesn't look like they are going to fix it. Six months is plenty of time to fix a small bug in the system. And since incorrect weather data will throw the entire calculation off, it's pretty much useless u less you have some other source for weather data.

Now that you have to pay for the app, I wouldn't buy it.

### 4/5 — Excellent starting point.

*2016-01-18, version 6.1.0*

Very close to real-world conditions. After 600yards, there are variances of course, but you need to confirm your data anyways. I recommend this app for any shooter.

### 5/5 — Jimjaw

*2015-12-18, version 6.1.0*

Best app I have.
Start shooting when I was nine, now sixty-nine, and still was puzzled about bullet performance. I always wondered why published data never matched real world results.
A $100 ProChrono chronograph and this app really changed my outlook, expanded my knowledge and enjoyment of reloading and shooting.

### 5/5 — Best on the market

*2015-11-21, version 6.1.0*

This app might cost a little more but it's has all the things you need while shooting in one place. I reload and I can track loads, groups and ballistics in one place.

### 5/5 — Great shooting app

*2015-11-19, version 6.0.4*

Love this app! I collected some data on my bullet (fps) and plugged it into the app along with all the other info it needs and was able to make a 400 yard shot on the first shot

### 5/5 — Great app for shooters!!

*2015-11-16, version 6.1.0*

One of the best apps on my phone. Mot useful than you can ever imagine.

### 5/5 — Ballistic

*2015-11-16, version 6.1.0*

Top of the line

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2015-11-16, version 6.1.0*

This is a great tool!

### 5/5 — Beats making range cards

*2015-07-30, version 6.0.4*

Far and away my favorite pocket ballistic computer.

### 5/5 — Best app!

*2015-03-18, version 6.0.2*

I use my ballistic app almost daily. All my chronograph loads are compiled. For me this app is the very best. Highly recommend.

2nd review. I have never had a lockup or failure of any kind. It's my constant partner at the range. When hunting, I keep it ready for use with the rangefinder.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2015-03-14, version 6.0.2*

The developer has been more than helpful in listening to his users. We've given him a ton of feedback and requests. He's been able to update immediately making this app better. This app has helped come in 1st place, in matches held in locations I've never shot at.

### 1/5 — Trash

*2023-03-23, version 6.5.3*

App required registration and don’t run without it

### 1/5 — Requires full name and email to use

*2021-08-01, version 6.5.3*

Sorry, not going to provide my name and email when not part of necessary functionality of an app. Don’t trust most developers with personally identifying information. I’d prefer an anonymized Apple email / ID option.

### 1/5 — Was a very good app

*2020-09-24, version 6.5.3*

Was a very good app. I had both the standard and paid. Did not use for a while. Went to the field and opened app. It wanted internet connection and email address stuff. BS. No thanks. I am in the field people no internet. Both versions have been deleted now.

### 1/5 — Was great, now wants unnecessary private info

*2020-04-12, version 6.5.3*

Used this app for years and it was great for measuring groups and storing load data. Something most other apps don’t have.

Then after an update it won’t let me access anything without first/last name and email address. There is NO reason for the app to need this info and it’s impossible to retrieve my stated target and load data without it. This app went from great to garbage in one update. Extremely disappointed.

I hope they come to their senses and remove the requirement, until then I would avoid it.

### 1/5 — Privacy insult

*2020-04-09, version 6.5.3*

Had the app for years, and AFTERWARDS changes their policy and THEN requires name and email addy or he won’t let you use it. Absolutely no reason other than to sell the info. Go your app elsewhere, not from this person!

### 1/5 — Fmn

*2013-06-08, version 4.2.3*

Meh.....Fair at best. No LOS vs true ballistic range. The 3 sec delay on shot angle does not work on my IPhone. Nothing special. Pricy for what it does.

### 1/5 — Something wrong.

*2012-10-11, version 3.4.0*

Entered my usual .308 load at 2900fps and it now tells me that there is only 1moa drop from 100 to 1200 yds! Also, the new HUD doesn't seem to work at all.

### 1/5 — Have to pay separately for iPad

*2012-10-04, version 3.3.0*

Most apps are available on your iPhone and iPad.

While you can use the iPhone version on half resolution you have to pay for the iPad version. For what it costs and the fact it's all available on the JBM website that's a disgrace.

Additionally, rather than releasing a version with updated features, this app is demanding in-app purchases.

Man up developer. Quit being greedy.

### 1/5 — Ballistic

*2012-09-18, version 3.0*

With previous update, could not access ballistic coefficient library. With the newest update( loaded today) when I try to input a bullet/ ballistic coefficient, the program crashes and reverts to my homescreen. Worked great ' til the last two updates.

### 1/5 — Edited: Poor Upgrade Policy (BEWARE)

*2009-03-06, version 0*

Those of us that paid for the original version of Ballistic were very disappointed that the author chose to create a separate versions of the same program requiring one to have to repurchase the program. The author is up to 3 versions of the same sofware all requiring a repurchase. Future upgrades to the program may require one to buy it again so if you buy today you may have to buy the next version just to get the updated features. Buyer beware.

The program itself is ok but there are better titles out that guarantee free upgrades and have better customer support and features.

### 5/5 — Awesome app

### 5/5 — Makes life easier

*2021-10-14, version 6.5.3*

This app provides excellent starting points.
Very simple to use

### 5/5 — Works fine

*2018-09-23, version 6.3.3*

Took a 6.5 CM to an 850 us range nearby and tried my luck at 500-600/700-800-850. Rang the bell on every first shot using this software “come ups”. Made a lot of math easy.

### 5/5 — Super helpful

*2017-06-17, version 6.2.4*

Lots of caliber's lots of grains etc
Really fun app and he visuals are excellent

### 5/5 — BJ McKay

*2017-05-21, version 6.2.4*

Terrific App. Updating all the time.

### 5/5 — Great app for the range

*2017-05-10, version 6.2.4*

If you shoot, and like the science of ballistics, and use it to improve your understanding and performance, this is the app for you.

### 5/5 — Absolutely spot on

*2017-01-26, version 6.2.3*

I've used this program in shooting high power NRA matches.

Once I get my velocities it's a snap to get my dope out to 1000 yards, which is as far as I shoot. I zero at either 100 or 200 yards, load all my data, and create a spreadsheet with the drops, windage, and clicks for the scope I'm using. I've never been off paper using numerous loads and numerous distances.

Can't say all the programs I've tried have worked as well.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2016-08-18, version 6.2.2*

Does everything you need quickly and easily and allows you to store your trajectory charts. Good list of bullets (or enter your own detail ) and lots of flexibility. Good for everyone from pro long range shooter to a guy sighting in a deer rifle.

### 5/5 — Custom Projectile

*2016-05-20, version 6.1.0*

The custom projectile function is incredible. As we create our new line of .308 JB's, this app hasn't failed us once. The ability to quickly compare our rounds to those currently on the market is extremely useful.
Thanks,

Z Force

### 5/5 — Excellent tool

*2016-04-27, version 6.1.0*

This is an excellent tool for someone selecting a caliber for specific hunting / shooting scenarios. Excellent for comparisons.
