The more I use BR the more I find not only what it can do but it gives me the tools to become better. Yes BR can analyze your shot groups but it can also provide the insights to become better. 1) I discovered in BR a tab marked INSIGHTS. Using insights I can analyze various shooting factors such as my shot groups performance based on ammo. (Using ammo is just one of many factors that can be used to provide meaningful results.) From what I read on the internet I thought ammo from company A was better than ammo from company F in my rifle. To my surprise using BR I can clearly see that ammo-F is superior (in my rifle.) I will definitely look at the other factors to help me become better. 2) Another tip - there are a myriad (over 100 Insights) of available factors that can provide valuable information. BUT you can use sliders to shorten the list. At the top of the INSIGHTS tab you will see FILTERS. Select filters than select SELECTED INSIGHTS. Here you can temporally remove factors from display so you can narrow the list to the factors you are interested in. 3) You vs Everyone. If you go to the SESSIONS tab in the middle you will see Benchmark Shot metrics. Initially they say "Personal Percentile.” These are YOUR shot metrics and compares metrics with YOUR other range sessions that have the same target distance and weapon type. Now if you tap on the screen it changes to Global Percentile. Now it displays how your shot metrics compare to the World (or at least to everyone who has entered their shot metrics into the Ballistics Report world.) one more tap on the screen and it hides the percentiles. Note: I’m not the developer of Ballistics Report but I am fairly confident this is how it works. 4) You will notice that the percentiles are either RED or GREEN. What I’ve determined is that if the percentile is between 1 - 49 it is red but green if the percentile is between 50 - 99. This gives you a quick visual representation how this metric compares to history. 5) More On Insights. Clicking on the INSIGHTS tab you will first see a few BEST metrics. (EX: Best MOA Shot Accuracy.) After the bests you will see metrics displayed either with a bar chart (ex: Avg MOA by Ammo) or with an area chart (ex; Avg MOA). On a bar chart if you tap on one of the bars you display the value for that bar. This allows you to select and view the specific value. On an area chart you can move (use your finger) the vertical “date” line to view that value from a prior session. This allows you to see how session values are changing (good or bad.) 6) In an area chart as you move the vertical date line the values are RED or GREEN and + or - . After my analysis this is what I’m seeing. The value at each date are RED if that value is Worse than the previous value. How much worse is +number. If the value at the current date line is better than the previous value the color is GREEN and - number. This one delivers with intuitive capturing for shots and excellent data entry points. Can be simple or more complex based on user preference which is nice if you’re really keeping detailed info! Jump through their ridiculous assumptions and initial questions. I should have known after the first question. I’m disappointed Apple doesn’t get rid of garbage like this app. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear you did not have a great onboarding experience. All I want to do is dry fife my pistol using the laser billet. No session required, no timed use, no hurry up before you run out of time! Just make it simple to use. This app gives me this. I can track by not just each target but also see how one of my guns fares not to just my others but which ones I am good at using. Secondary note. Love the challenges each month. Give me a goal to obtain and try to reach the top of the challenge. Prizes are great too. It is not the top person in the challenge that wins but it is a drawing which anyone can win.
