The original Ballz is an almost perfect game. Why is Ketchapp making rhinestones when they have a dusty diamond sitting in the back? There’s already a review on Ballz telling you quite clearly what needs to be fixed about it but that game seems to have been entirely abandoned which is why I’m writing here and not on the original. I’m begging you as a fan who has paid you money to revisit the original Ballz. Don’t change any of the physics. Just give the player full or at least significantly more control over the ball speed so that turns don’t take way too long late in the game. If you want to be more ambitious, I wouldn’t mind having triangular blocks in Ballz as it advertises and I think adding SEPARATE game modes with slightly different mechanics and features (but the same physics) would be great. But I and many others would be delighted if you would just fix the ball speed problem. ### 2/5 — Okay... Wait what? *2019-08-31, version 1.0* The thing that made the original game fun was the fact that you have time to strategize. In this you constantly rushed to make a choice without any thought. Plus, the shots are hard to aim, I can never line up a shot. It would be awesome to see new game modes in the original that add gimmicks like this. Falling Ballz added more so I don't think it would be a game mode thing. But anyway, I think some more thought should be added into it, it’s mainly the original but with two new core features. In conclusion, it looks to me like this idea could have more development, but for now, it’s a good concept, not well executed. ### 3/5 — Poorly made but addicting *2019-05-09, version 1.0* I don’t know why this game is so addicting because it is SO poorly made. It constantly glitches out and sometimes the ball will just disappear all together and the shooter will just uselessly move around at the bottom with no ball to shoot. It’s pretty funny how janky this game is. Also they put the adds at the bottom next to where you press the shooter button so you’re always interrupting the game by accidentally clicking on the add. I keep playing this stupid game though so jokes on me I guess. ### 3/5 — The timing is off *2018-10-15, version 1.0* The amount the blocks move down is not relative to the time it takes for the balls to come back. Also the balls don’t bounce as they should and don’t aim as they should. It takes too long for the shooter to reload as all the blocks move down. You should also make an option to remove ads. ### 2/5 — Fun, but in a great way, disappointing... *2018-09-16, version 1.0* I fell in love with Ballz and this game presented itself as an answer to a desire to play the game with power-ups or boosts. Unfortunately, unlike Ballz, this game defies the physics-honoring nature of the game. The balls seem to pick and choose what path they’ll take or even if they’ll hit what you want it to regardless of your aim. Sometimes the balls fly in straight angles, then randomly they’ll fly in a curve. Truly the greatest and very significant issue with the app is that the balls don't continue hitting the next blocks after destroying another. They just hit dead space where the previous block once was. To explain, if I've collected 8 balls and aim at a block that only needs 3 hits, the remaining 5 balls don't continue on (upward) to strike the next block. They just keep hitting the spot where the 3 block used to be. All why the rest of the squares are still descending. This means that you’re actually shooting yourself in the foot by collecting more balls. Because the more balls you have to return to the shooter, the longer you wait and higher chances are that the blocks will reach the bottom. I can’t tell you the number of times, the balls were going ham on all these boxes so satisfyingly but there was a 1 block below it all that I could have easily done away with had I not had to wait for EVERY last ball to slowly return to the shooter. It’s been like this since they released the app and they’ve done nothing to fix this. It’s clearly a glitch. It’s something they should have long since fixed. I don’t know why Ketchapp is getting away with not updating their apps, I was under the impression that it was a mandate for apps to be updated on a regular basis, but they literally don’t update any of their games. They just keep releasing new apps like a bunny makes babies. It’s disappointing. And there’s also no speedy option. Nothing we can tap to make the balls descend faster when they’re not hitting anything on the way back down. I love the challenge of this game on paper. But at this point it just feels like the game is rigged to keep you from getting past a certain level. I do like the challenge of the moving blocks. But given the above mentioned errs, it would have been a consolation if the blocks stopped moving as soon as you shoot and they resume moving once all the balls have returned to the shooter. Still a challenge, but more chances to enjoy extended game play. So, I would have rather they had just updated the original Ballz game adding the cool new boosters than getting a brand new tease of a game with a bunch of glitches the developers won’t fix. Other than that, as always awesome graphics! Certainly a great concept. *Oh yeah!! I don’t mind ads. But the way they have the ads triggered are terrible. They lag so that I will have literally started playing and then suddenly an ad pops up. Then the x buttons on these ads are so finicky that almost every time it processes my tap to close it as interest and transfers me to the app store, completely removing me from the game altogether. SUPER whack. ### 4/5 — Good Game, Bad AD placement *2018-08-29, version 1.0* Overall this is a very simple, challenging, enjoyable game. My one issue is the ad placement at the bottom of the game. It is so easily hit while trying to shoot the balls that it ends up opening the ad while you’re trying to play the game. If I have 8 balls, and I hit a box with 1 on it, the remaining 7 balls just get wasted. They act as if the box is still there and bounce back. Really frustrating. If this were to be like the original game Ballz, it would be a lot more fun and more addictive. I quit playing for a few days, if not longer at a time, because of this. I forget how frustrating it is and stop playing again after 10 minutes or less. This needs to be fixed. Maybe if they had power ups you could shoot to pick up that would be better as well, or add some challenges to complete to earn extra circles to buy more balls. If they fix this, I won’t delete it. But until it’s fixed, I’ve deleted the game.
