## Newest reviews (15 of 65)

### 2/5 — Yuck

*2025-08-01, version 6.1.2*

Boy, these other reviews aren’t kidding. This is so much harder to use than the last version. It won’t let me pick a place on the map - that’s the whole point!

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2024-01-02, version 6.0.2*

Current update is not functional. Only 4 recommended service types show up and the app will not load any others.

### 2/5 — Not good

*2023-12-19, version 6.0.2*

The app isn’t working at all right now, app is on a update loop

### 2/5 — App not working

*2023-05-17, version 5.0.5*

I hope that downloading and then adding will help it? I can’t do any reports on the app. It NEEDS to be fixed!!

### 1/5 — Constantly get errors and have to call 311

*2022-12-27, version 5.0.3*

Defeats the purpose.

And I get a “blocking not entered” error constantly when entering a tree is down.

Bummer as the app is a great idea.

### 3/5 — 5.0 update: unable to access gallery, camera

*2022-09-23, version 5.0.0*

New: as of writing, version 5.0 has been released, and with it a bug where users are unable to open their media galleries, or even their camera, to add photos to their SRs. This update likely still lacks the ability to upload videos as well, which is extremely annoying. Please patch this bug asap

Old: To the developers: PLEASE update this app!!! I rely on this app heavily and want to see it fully take advantage of the new hardware of the newer iPhone models. I encounter errors, including one where I tried to check the status of a BGE street light repair, and it told me the function was invalid with a bunch of code, random app crashes, significant loading times when uploading photos or videos, SEVERE compression when also doing the aforementioned, as well as lag and slow response times to clicking and map tapping. PLEASE do an optimization update for this app! So many of us still use and rely on it!!

### 2/5 — Parts of the app broken

*2022-06-16, version 4.0.2*

Can't view past service requests. Unsure if they were submitted correctly.

### 1/5 — Makes Home Addresses Public

*2022-05-04*

I put in a complaint about not having any water (the whole block had no water) and it put my whole address on there for anyone to see. It even offers “get directions” if you open the map. My neighbors addresses were also on there. I don’t think it’s necessary to share our addresses publicly for a complaint like that.

### 1/5 — Absolute crap but what do you expect from Baltimore

*2020-07-20, version 3.0.1*

The address functionality doesn’t work so you can’t even make it far enough in a claim to submit something. Completely worthless app.

### 1/5 — Previous requests don’t show up.

*2020-01-01*

I wanted to follow up on my previous requests and it says’no requests found.” A few days ago it found them only after I updated the app, but there are no updates right now. It also asks for various permissions, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to turn them off.

The times I have been able to look at prior requests, the app has been totally uninformative: it will say that an Issue has been resolved but it doesn’t say how or the disposition of the issue or whether a request has been denied and if it has been denied why it was denied.

### 1/5 — Can’t Upload Photos & No Spellcheck

*2019-07-21, version 2.0.2*

Can’t upload photos & no spellcheck/autocorrect in this app.

### 1/5 — Photos don’t load

*2019-07-13, version 2.0.2*

The photos more times than not won’t load. I get error messages and try again messages. I spent 30 min trying to load a photo and ended up sending in request without it. Previous version was much easier to use.

### 1/5 — Oh Baltimore.....

*2019-04-09*

Why can’t I attach a picture to my complaint? I’m trying to make it easier for the city service to find said complaint. Now all you’re going to do is say you couldn’t find it, close the complaint and the cycle continues. This is extremely frustrating. Please bring back the attach photo feature.

### 1/5 — I’ll be brief...

*2019-03-30, version 2.0.0*

Garbage. Just like everything Baltimore City government does. Not a shred of value in this app. It simply doesn’t work. Buttons that don’t function, etc. If you take the time to report something you are a fool. It will never leave your phone. Best of luck during the coming apocalypse Baltimore. By any measure, it’s already here.

### 1/5 — Another call for the return of the old app!

*2019-03-15*

Like a previous reviewer, I wish I could still use the old app. What was wrong with it? Nothing that couldn’t be addressed, I’m sure. Baltimore City too often invests in *replacing* things rather than pursuing continuous improvement of existing infrastructure that works.

I attempted to submit a request. It did not recognize intersections and it did not allow me to submit a photo. When I checked on my request, it is displayed with questions I was never presented and, therefore, didn’t answer, so it looks as if I provided no details. And the questions I was presented with and the answers I gave are nowhere to be seen. Were they registered along with my request? Who knows.

Please either quickly improve this new app or bring that old one back. The current situation of a gem of an app being replaced with a shiny new broken one isn’t working. I can’t believe we’ve taken a step backwards here.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Forced app update but app is already updated

*2026-05-27*

The app won’t allow a new submission and is forcing an update. I go to update from the app store and the only option is to open. Once I tap open, it sends me back to the app that is forcing an update on an app that is already updated. This is app continues to be horrible.

### 1/5 — This app is completely broken

*2025-07-12*

The old app worked better, but forced me to update. I updated and now nothing works. I’ve tried to sign in multiple times. Create a user profile and it just doesn’t work. What a piece of garbage I can’t believe the city wasted money making this thing.

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2025-03-30*

This app is slow and full of unnecessary questions that slow down the reporting process. The previous app was much better. This looks like it was designed to discourage use while allowing the city to check a box saying they have an app despite how discouraging it is to use. The map is frustratingly slow. Is it scanning the entire planet to determine location before finally reaching the location I am reporting from that is sometimes incorrect? This is a terrible app that needs to be simplified.

### 1/5 — App is completely broken - glitched

*2025-03-08*

Downloaded app today. Tried to report exposed wires on street light. Allowed upload of new image and videos and then crashed on upload of image from photo album. no problem. closed the app. reopened and now it wont allow me to place any request at all. Tried multiple times - giving up. Who in the city is responsible for this ?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-09-12*

Almost every issue I’ve tried to report within Baltimore city limits is met with an “out of jurisdiction” pop-up. If the city isn’t responsible for traffic signals downtown, we’ve got a major problem.

Last year I was actually able to report things, but they’re all still open. And some of them have been reports of dangerous issues. Not one resolved request, so I’m guessing it’s dysfunctional on the backend too? Is anyone even seeing these reports? What is the point of this app?

### 1/5 — No longer keeps your 311 requests

*2024-08-06, version 6.0.8*

The app no longer keeps your 311 requests in your list. Was fine until July 10th. Since the none of my requests appear in my list so no way to track them and follow up.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-02-06, version 6.0.4*

One cannot even submit a request using this app.

### 1/5 — New update made app completely dysfunctional

*2024-01-29, version 6.0.3*

Can’t attach photos, selecting a location is glitchy, I can’t even get it to submit a ticket. Bring back the previous update until you get this to work!

### 1/5 — Stuck

*2024-01-21, version 6.0.3*

The app is Stuck at a mandatory app update screen which takes you to the App Store and never goes away even though the app is up to date leaving you unable to use the app.

### 1/5 — Request types mostly missing

*2024-01-20*

This app used to work fine, but now I can only see the four "suggested" request types. The "All Requests" heading has nothing below it, and no search term I've tried, even words in the names of the suggested requests, brings up a single result. Where'd everything go?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works everytime

*2025-02-20*

I use the app to report every issue I have in the city, from parking in the bike lane to signing repairs, and they always take care of it. More people in Baltimore should utilize this

### 5/5 — Try it out for City services

*2024-04-27*

Most of the ratings I’ve read relate to versions prior to the current version 6. The whole point of having an app is that the City recognizes that most residents use mobile devices in their daily lives: we aren’t usually at a computer when we run into a concern that we would like the City to address.

As an employee of Baltimore City, I've found the City’s 311 mobile app to be an incredibly useful tool for addressing community concerns efficiently. Whether it's reporting potholes, requesting trash pickup, or notifying the city about a fallen tree limb, the app is user-friendly and responses from City agencies are prompt. It's made a noticeable difference in how quickly issues are resolved in. I think the mobile app is a must-have for anyone living in Baltimore who wants to contribute to the well-being of our community!

### 5/5 — Request types fixed

*2024-01-29*

This app was previously lacking most request types, but now it works again! Much more convenient than the phone system, for sure.

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2021-02-07, version 4.0.2*

I reported a car sprawled across a crosswalk.

### 5/5 — It’s really not complete!!

*2020-06-05*

Best app in town. Only thing wrong is when you put a request in because the grass so high is over your shoulders and rats, and mice and snakes and other creatures and trash and used tires and used condoms and cans and couches and fridges and debris there and you just want to get it cleaned and mowed and the city owns the lot because they demolished the house they could have fixed up there.. it says complete and you run look at the lot and nothing is done. It should say complete when its really complete. The last person should enter complete after verifying it’s been cleaned, cleared and mow, not the first person in housing who sees and just passes it along. Y’all need to stop that or fix that!

### 5/5 — Couldn’t be easier

*2018-09-17, version 1.0*

It’s a snap to use and then follow up!

### 5/5 — Excellent Functionality

*2018-09-17*

Baltimore (finally) makes reporting an issue easy and intuitive. Great interface, great execution. Well done.

### 5/5 — Great, simple UI

*2018-09-15, version 1.0*

Makes it very easy to submit tickets.

### 5/5 — Easy Entry

*2018-09-14*

Very easy to find the type of ticket you want to enter and then get it logged. Finding status on ticket is just as easy. It simply does what it’s supposed to.

### 4/5 — Very good interface

*2018-09-17, version 1.0*

Was easy to use and can see using often
