I recently converted from using an extremely expensive video delay platform to using BAM at the suggestion of a couple of my peers. BAM does everything I need except split screen compare. It would be nice if I would be able to record two videos and then put them side-by-side in the app. It would also be good to have better/more detailed user instructions. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else the software should do that it doesn’t already. I highly recommend it to anybody that needs to be able to do something, then watch it and/or record it to be played back on another app in the same phone or tablet. Been using it constantly and have had no problems. The only down side is it’s very easy to alter the time delay on the screen. This app is fantastic! ### 5/5 — Amazing *2020-10-06* Set it and forget it! I use this application for springboard diving. I set a delay that allows divers to receive feedback after a dive and then they go to the connected tv to watch themselves. All without slowing practice down. If the divers need a more detailed break down, rewinding viewing in slowmo, and resetting the original delay are all fast and easily done. BAM has always been the best UI for video feedback, but was severely limited in team sport situations by 2 minute limit. Squeezing out the extra time, 4-6 minutes based on framerate and resolution desired, is a complete game-changer. I cannot thank you enough for making this important change. It will revolutionize my ability to create powerful scrimmage feedback situations. Easy-to-access slo-mo capability awesome, as well. Best tool in world for immediate video feedback! ORIGINAL: BAM is a centerpiece in my Volleyball coaching - has been for several years now. BUT - is there some practical reason for the 2 minute max?? The app would be infinitely more useful for sports training, especially in scrimmage situations, with a 3-4-5 minute delay ability. **Developer response:** UPDATE: Thanks, glad you found the update useful and thanks for the kind words. Good luck with your coaching. ORIGINAL: Hi Topvidreviewer. There is an 4.0 update out with 60 fps HD or up to 6 minutes delay at lower fps for most available iPhones/iPads. As for the practical reasons: the longer the delay the more memory is needed and it is a lot and hard to fit in the RAM of your device. In this update I managed to optimise it so the max delay can be longer. Also I see you missed out on the 3.0 (when writing this review) with added slow motion and 2 screen view modes :) If you have any more question you can email me from within the app taping the "i" button and then contact. ### 5/5 — Great video delay *2019-07-09, version 3.1* This is an awesome app!! Would love to talk to customer support or get a refund for this. ### 1/5 — No support for AV adapter?! *2015-12-29, version 1.1* Makes video from iPhone 6S through the adapter look like they were shot through Vaseline. Als sie noch funktionierte, war sie nutzlos, weil eine Wiederholung im Originaltempo Lernenden nichts bringt. Lernende brauchen eine verlangsamte Wiedergabe. Allerdings eine lustige Spielerei, die leider komplett überteuert ist und auch ein wenig sinnlos. Coach`s Eye oder Ubersense sind weit bessere Programme. ### 3/5 — Super app ! It would be nice if it was increased to at least 10 min so that we can go back and save an earlier turn. The 4 screen option is also great. I'm able to give my athlete a correction and they can watch it up to 4 times in order to understand the correction. ### 4/5 — Good but could be great *2012-11-08, version 1.1* Great app for use in Sports Education. Our students can perform an action, then watch themselves back straight after with the coach. My only complaint is that when using an external display via Air Mirroring, the iPad screen goes black so you can no longer see what you are pointing it at, that's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me. ### 4/5 — Excellent app for coaching. *2012-09-03, version 1.1* I'm a gymnastics coach and use this app all the time for coaching. It really is great and I've recommended it a lot of my colleagues. I have a couple feature requests that I and other coaches have requested. I would rate this app 5 stars with the following 3 features. 1. Allow for the app to continue recording when pausing and watching in slow mo, so when you go back to the normal delay view your not missing anything that might have happened. 2. Allow for a selection of video to be saved to the device. I know it goes back two minutes so this shouldn't be hard to implement. 3. Allow for the app to stream via AirPlay. Again, this is an amazing app and in conjunction with a tripod one of the best coaching tools in my opinion! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Love it *2025-08-06* We use the app regularly during our competitive diving (springboard/platform) training, and our whole team is thrilled about the ability to watch and analyze jumps in replay. It’s really helpful. The support is also very good! I would love to have an option to record audio when saving, as I save the best jumps and create a yearly compilation. It would be great to include the splash sounds and background noises as well. Players perform an action and I tell them to go look at the screen and see the playback. Once they see themselves, I can ask to see if they recognize what they did right or wrong. In most cases where players are disregarding feedback, it’s because they don’t believe they’re doing anything wrong. One of the biggest problems is that what you think you’re doing and what you’re trying to work on and groove into your swing down the driving range, may not be in fact be what you are doing and in turn, not what you are groving into your swing. For a lot of you, including me, be prepared for a shock. This app is an essential tool if you are serious about practice. Great concept. One extra would make it perfect. Also love the increased delay from 2 minutes to 4 minutes. One thing I would LOVE - a locking code so the kids can’t adjust the times when the coach isn’t looking.
