## What is Bandbreite?

Browse the full catalogue of official bands, build your collection, and stay inspired by stats, insights, curated collections, and the community. Whether you’re a pro, a beginner, or curious about every official watch band ever released, Bandbreite gives you the tools to explore, collect, and stay inspired.

＊ Bands. All bands. :: Since 2015, Bandbreite has catalogued every official watch band ever released. With over 900 bands organized by style, color, or release date, it’s never been easier to explore more than 10 years of watch bands. You can browse detailed specs, swipe through image galleries, and discover the bands that fit you and your style best.

＊ Collection, Wishlist, and more. :: Add bands to your collection or wishlist — or mark them as in transit or up for trade. Bandbreite helps you track everything you own and everything you might have your eye on. There’s always that one band missing, right? Our curated collections show band groups like "Adventure awaits", or "Made in Switzerland", and can be used to get informed, inspired, or to see which bands fit well together.

＊ Stats & Insights. :: Discover your collecting and wearing habits with statistics and charts on your favorite styles and colors, most-worn bands, and more. All insights are generated
right on your device — privacy built in.

＊ Logbook. :: Log the bands you’re wearing! Keep track of which bands are being worn the most, and which are used the least and might need more of your attention. A simple tool that emphasises your favorites and helps you understand your collection and your habits a bit more. It’s also fun! Additionally, you can also track days with third-party bands, or even mark a rest day when your watch stays on the charger. A timeline view shows when you've logged a band over the years.

＊ Always Up to Date. :: Bandbreite's database is updated over-the-air with every new band release. We work closely with the community to keep it accurate and helpful.

"This app really wouldn’t be the same in anyone else’s hands."
We promise to live up to one of our favorite reviews.

＊ All features are free to explore and use. To manage collections with more than five (5) bands, a one-time upgrade to Bandbreite Pro unlocks your unlimited collection. No subscriptions.

Do you have questions, feedback, or a bug to report? We’d love to hear from you.
You’ll find contact details in the app’s settings, or join us on Discord.

### 4/5 — Good

*2026-06-23*

Can’t wait for the Liquid Glass version!
A Force Touch menu on the calendar view of the logbook to delete individual entries when multiple are registered for a single day would also be a nice touch

Great app, developers open to feedbacks, it’s good sticking with it over the years!

**Developer response:** Once again, thank you for the detailed feedback, and for sticking with Bandbreite over the years.

The startup loading issue in weak connection conditions is known, and a fix is coming in the next update. Liquid Glass is still on the way. With the latest updates from WWDC26, it will be even better and worth the wait.

Not every request shapes the app the same way, but some of yours clearly have. The door is always open.

[Update] Both Liquid Glass and the Haptic Touch Menu on the Calendar View made it into the latest update.

### 5/5 — Die App die jeder Sammler benötigt

*2026-05-26*

### 5/5 — For watch band people indeed!

*2026-05-25*

Granular AF.

**Developer response:** That’s the goal, glad it shows. 😄

### 4/5 — Great! But…

*2026-05-08, version 2.3.1*

I love this app, but I wish they would bring back the feature where you could log a band right on the  Watch.

### 5/5 — Amazing.

*2026-05-06, version 2.3.1*

A gorgeous and seriously impressive app. I’ve got a huge collection and I love being able to easily track what band was worn, when. The only downside is how Bandbreite has enabled and encouraged my watch band addiction.

### 5/5 — Buena atención

*2026-04-28, version 2.2*

Gracias por la ayuda

### 1/5 — No funciona

*2026-04-26, version 2.2*

Me sale error de sync

### 1/5 — Constant sync error

*2026-04-26, version 2.2*

Getting a sync error each time I open the app. Makes the app unusable.

### 5/5 — Incroyable application

*2026-04-21*

### 4/5 — Great while it lasted.

*2026-04-16*

I have used this app for the past year and enjoyed it from the very first moment I discovered it. However, everything must come to an end I suppose.
I use an iPad Air 2 for the app and when the update dropped (the one that introduced payments for certain normal behaviours) it became incompatible with my little iPad friend. So, I will still use it to catalogue my Apple Watch straps but only the ones released prior to Sept 2025 as no ‘strap catalogue’ update seems forthcoming for older versions.
Still, it was a great app while it lasted.

PS: there is another review that is listed here and it wasn’t written by me and was immediately deleted when it was discovered by me. But, as the app author has replied to it it still appears if looked for. Please bear in mind my actual full opinion that I would share publicly with others is the review written above. Not that first one that was replied to and is now unresolvable.

**Developer response:** The app has been free for over four years, and we made a decision we believe is in the best interest of both the app and its community going forward. I’m sorry if you disagree. Just to clarify: there’s only one limitation, and it only affects larger collections. Everything else remains free — despite the time and effort invested over the past years. Thank you for your feedback.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.5 — 2026-08-06

What's new? We made the app you love even lovelier.
＊ Liquid Glass. Everywhere. Finally.
＊ Your collection, backed up daily. Alongside iCloud, Bandbreite now quietly saves a local backup every day you use the app, keeping the last few on hand accessible and shareable, right when you need them.
＊ Export your collection, logbook and more as CSV. Yours to use however you like.
＊ The new Band Action Bar on Band Details can be minimized or hidden entirely. Prefer to keep things simple? All actions stay just one tap away in a standard menu instead, enabled via Settings.
＊ All Bands can now be filtered by case size, with non-matching sizes dimmed rather than hidden.
＊ Logbook Activities on Band View adds a simple timeline of when you've logged a band over the years.
＊ A new, easy-to-read Band Summary highlights key facts in a beautiful sheet.
＊ New App Icon, accompanied by new graphics in the app. (More coming later this year.)
This version also includes numerous UI improvements and small bug fixes. Among other details, dark mode has been improved, and the number of possible band trays has been increased to 20 with new icons to help tell them apart.

### 2.4.2 — 2026-06-16

A new toggle in settings keeps updates from slowing things down on unexpectedly weak cellular by syncing only over Wi-Fi. Everything already on your device stays available, whatever the signal. iCloud sync is unaffected.

### 2.4.1 — 2026-06-07

A scheduling issue with Logbook reminders has been fixed. Bonus: if you've already logged today before a reminder fires, it will be skipped.

### 2.4 — 2026-05-25

Two new widgets, logbook streaks, smart deep links, and a handful of refinements. Enjoy the app that just keeps getting more polished than a stainless-steel link bracelet.
＊ New widgets for your Home Screen: Band of the Day and Logbook. Existing widgets also receive visual refinements, with light and dark modes now configurable per widget, independently of system settings, and new customizable modes for clear and tinted Home Screens.
＊ Get more insights about your "history on the wrist" with all-new streaks in Logbook Stats.
＊ The shortcuts on the Studio and Collection tabs are now editable, and the appearance of band trays on the Studio tab is now customizable too.
＊ All-new Band Compatibility Info is now rendered dynamically for each band based on its product numbers.
＊ Matching watch faces can now be downloaded for selected bands.
＊ Shared band links like bandbreite.watch/trailloop/greenneon now open directly in the app, and widgets and push notifications link straight to the band or your Logbook.
＊ Prefer light or dark? Override the app's color scheme independently of your system setting.
＊ Search smarter with predefined searches for common queries, and a search history so your recent lookups are always one tap away.
＊ Improved: Hermès band details now show the specific band style, not just the generic category.
＊ Improved: New 'On your wishlist' filter.
＊ Fixed: "Rest days" and other custom entries can now be deleted from the Logbook.
＊ Fixed: Top 10 sorted by rank, not by color.
＊ Fixed: Modern Buckle (FineWoven) is no longer counted as leather in Stats and Insights.
This version also includes minor UI improvements and small bug fixes. Among other things, swiping through image galleries works as expected.
Liquid Glass Design is coming. It's in the works, it's next, and yes, that's a promise.

### 2.3.1 — 2026-05-06

A few things needed attention after the last update, plus one new feature that had to wait for the database to catch up. Here's what's changed:
＊ Over 2,500 product numbers for all Braided Solo Loops and Solo Loops have been added, covering sizes 0 to 12. Set your size in Settings to highlight your number on band details, browse the full chart, or search to identify your band.
＊ The Logbook shortcut now shows whether a band is logged for the day, or not yet.
＊ Improved: Visibility of selected elements in Dark Mode for Curated Collections and on Band Grid.
＊ Fixed: A rare crash or empty dashboard on app launch when updating the database. The app launch feels a bit snappier too.
＊ Fixed: Push notifications not firing, or firing multiple times, when a custom notification time was set.
＊ Fixed: "Reset All Tips" now working as expected.
