## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.10 — 2026-08-26

Settings, rebuilt

• Sources are grouped by type, each with its own artwork
• Every server shows what's in it — "3,643 movies · 621 shows"
• Tap a source to reload it, sign in again, pick which
  libraries appear, or remove it
• Storage now shows a colour-coded breakdown of what
Bandit is using, so you can see what's worth clearing

Live TV guide fixes

• No more grid of empty tiles after a day away — the guide
says it's loading, then fills in
• The guide downloads quietly at launch and when you come
back, so it's usually ready before you open Live TV
• Both fixes apply to M3U and Xtream Codes

Also fixed

• Section headings on Home and Discover now open the full list
• "Remove from Continue Watching" no longer appears for
  titles that aren't there
• Jellyfin's "Recently added shows" is no longer empty

### 1.9.1 — 2026-08-03

Fixes
• "Recently added shows" now works on Jellyfin and Emby.
The row was coming up empty even when new episodes had
  been added.
• Groundwork and internal cleanup ahead of the Apple TV
  app.

### 1.9 — 2026-07-30

Cast to your TV
Chromecast is here. Send anything from any of your servers
to a Chromecast or Google TV, with full transport controls,
subtitle and audio track selection, and a scrubber that
keeps up. AirPlay handling has been rebuilt alongside it.

Fix out-of-sync audio and subtitles
New delay controls in the player. Nudge audio or subtitles
in fine steps until they line up, per title.

Section headings now open
Tap "Recently added movies", "Because you watched", or any
other heading to see everything in it instead of the first
few. Same on Discover.

Search your NAS
WebDAV and SMB shares are now searchable. Bandit walks the
share and finds files by name, so content on a NAS is no
longer invisible to search.

More than one account per server
Switch between user profiles on a Jellyfin or Emby server
without signing out and back in.

Edit a source you already added
Swipe a source in Settings to change its address, name or
sign-in details, instead of deleting it and starting over.

Fixes and improvements
• Your whole library indexes in one pass. Large libraries
no longer come up short and need a second attempt, and
a sync that does fall short says so and retries instead
  of quietly looking complete.
• "Remove from Continue Watching" no longer appears for
titles that aren't in Continue Watching.
• Marking something watched updates it everywhere on Home
at once, instead of leaving other rows out of date.
• Downloads interrupted by force-quitting the app now
  resume instead of sitting stuck.
• Deleting a source now removes its downloads and viewing
  history with it.
• Add-on catalogues that share a name are told apart
("Popular Movies" and "Popular Shows" rather than two
  rows both called "Popular").
• Playlist and guide downloads are size-limited and time
out properly, so a bad address can't hang the app.
• Artwork is properly sized in the new full-screen grids
  on iPad.

### 1.8 — 2026-07-28

Playback

Playback resumes automatically after a phone call, Siri, or an alarm interrupts it
The lock screen and CarPlay now update immediately when you skip or scrub, instead of lagging up to ten seconds behind
Every player control is labelled for VoiceOver, and the scrubber can be operated by swiping
Downloads

Transfers that complete while the app is closed are now finished correctly by the system
Download rows announce their progress and time remaining; failed downloads can be retried with VoiceOver
Staying current

Home and Library refresh themselves when you come back after being away
Pull to refresh now works on Discover
Throughout

Animations respect Reduce Motion
Posters, rails, the TV guide and the rest of the interface read properly with VoiceOver
Large text sizes no longer break headings or the movie detail layout
Connection problems explain what to actually try — the right port, http:// for a home server — instead of showing a system error code
Smoother scrolling during downloads and library syncs, and lower memory use with large libraries

### 1.7 — 2026-07-26

• Trailers and extras now play inside Bandit. Behind-the-scenes clips,
deleted scenes, featurettes and interviews from your Plex, Jellyfin or
Emby server appear as tappable thumbnails on any movie or show — no
more being handed off to a browser.

• Choose your stream. When an add-on offers a title in several qualities,
Bandit now asks which one you want instead of picking for you.

• Adding a server is much simpler. Type just your server's address and
Bandit fills in the rest, showing you exactly what it will connect to
before you save. Every field now explains what it needs.

• Fixed Quick Connect for Jellyfin and Emby — passwordless sign-in now works.

• Your sign-in details are properly checked when you add a server, so a
typo is caught immediately instead of turning up later as an empty
  library.

• Add-ons: install links now work whichever format you paste them in,
add-ons that use an access key work correctly, and listings-only
add-ons explain themselves clearly instead of showing an error.

• Long-press Play on a movie to choose between resuming and starting
over — this previously only worked on TV shows.

• Playback fixes
