### 4/5 — Innovative Chromatic Tuner App Shows Promise Despite Minor Freezing Issues.

*2025-01-19, version 1.7.1*

Overall, I am quite impressed with this application. While I cannot compare its accuracy to other chromatic tuners, I appreciate the innovative way it displays notes on a staff. As an adult learner of the cello, I find the visual representation encouraging, though others may consider it gimmicky.
However, I have experienced occasional freezing while using the app on my iOS device, and I am unsure if it's due to my iPhone model (iPhone 15) or the current iOS version. Interestingly, I've found the web-based version to be more responsive than the iPhone app.
Despite this issue, it's important to remember that the app is free, and the developers deserve recognition for their efforts. I eagerly anticipate future updates and look forward to seeing any potential bugs resolved.

### 3/5 — Percussion

*2024-09-29, version 1.7.1*

Why is there no percussion?

### 3/5 — Doesn’t pick notes up

*2024-09-03, version 1.7.1*

When playing together in a full band it won’t pick any notes up also when set to trombone it won’t pick up any low notes only mid and high range notes. Over all good tuner for beginners but for the average high school student I would choose better options. I recommend making the audio pick up range bigger so when I hit low and pedal notes it will pick up and make it so I can see if I’m in tune while playing in a big band. (Other tuners have done both of these things so it should be possible)

### 4/5 — Very useful

*2024-02-17, version 1.7.1*

Solid app - would be nice to add pedal note support for trumpet as it currently can’t go below an F#

### 3/5 — Eh

*2023-11-30, version 1.7.1*

So I play the trombone and I have this app It’s good it just encourage me to work harder and I feel like it tunes wrong so I think that you should fix it by having like good work or like nice job or at least have it right onto once we play it

### 5/5 — Bandmate

*2023-11-06, version 1.7.1*

I love band mate so much cause it helps me get the right note on the Clarinet and it has helped me improve in my sounds.❣️

### 5/5 — Good

*2023-10-12, version 1.7.1*

Good

### 5/5 — Great App for Tuning all Instruments

*2023-10-10, version 1.7.1*

I use this for my clarinet and saxophone. It is basic and works perfectly. My band teachers recommend this tuning app for everyone.

### 4/5 — Missing ONE feature

*2023-08-27, version 1.7.1*

This app is great, I used it a lot when I was learning all the different brass instruments (especially French horn) since it shows the notes on the staff. The only feature it’s missing is the ability to switch the staff in which it’s displayed. Currently working on college audition music for Trombone and it’s all in tenor clef, which isn’t an option. It would be cool to change the clef it displays. Sometimes French Horn is written in bass clef, Trombone in tenor clef, so on and so forth. Would be a cool feature. Everything else is great!

### 5/5 — Superb

*2023-06-18, version 1.7.1*

Love it, ranges in all sorts of instruments, works perfectly with my French horn ❤️❤️

### 5/5 — This app is AMAZING for beginners!

*2023-06-06, version 1.7.1*

I started playing French horn in middle school. Now I have been playing it for 3 years and have been successful! This app is definitely been a help throughout my journey as a musician. Being able to know what note and partial I was playing on was SO beneficial and created building blocks as a beginner. I still use it today when I practice new music, it’s always been a huge help!!

I recommend this app to beginners and anyone in general that is wanting to improve! It never lets you down ❤️❤️

### 5/5 — It’s good

*2023-05-22, version 1.7.1*

I like it

### 5/5 — one of the best chromatic tuners i’ve found

*2023-05-14, version 1.7.1*

my band teacher swears by this app, and honestly it’s one of the best chromatic tuners i’ve found for free. no paywalls or ads, easy to use, and reasonably accurate. in my experience, it works very well for tuning flute and saxophone + there’s many other instruments you can choose to tune for which i haven’t personally tried. a gamechanger for beginner musicians!

### 4/5 — Good app

*2023-02-19, version 1.7.1*

I just started using this app today and I like it! It allows you to pick out the instrument you play and then when you play it it says what note it is. I wish it could recognize the note a bit faster because it takes a second and is kind of annoying when you want to play a little bit of faster music. But overall it is a great app for musicians!

### 5/5 — Great app, would prefer one addition

*2022-12-11*

I play French horn and have been trying to find my range, this allowed me to see that I could play an a above the staff, however, it would not go past low f when I tried to play low notes, o have been able to play the c below that consistently, but it will not show. I just would like to see what I am playing on the bass clef.

### 4/5 — Add to android please

*2022-09-28, version 1.7.1*

I’m a beginner band teacher and your app is a lifesaver for starting brass. Thank you for making it free and simple for students to use. Please please please add to android so it is accessible for all families.

### 1/5 — Uwaw

### 1/5 — Loved the app, but no longer works ☹️

*2021-10-30, version 1.6.4*

When I say I loved this app I mean I LOVED THIS APP. I used it constantly to make sure I was singing on pitch, to test what high note I just hit, to test my range, etc etc. It made me a better and smarter singer. However, when I changed phones (Now an iPhone XR), it no longer lets me use it for voice (treble). Because the menu fits differently on this phone, it’s at the very bottom, beyond my reach. I can’t scroll down, it just selects whatever instrument on the side I hit. I’m disappointed because I miss using this app but because of one tech mishap it’s become completely useless to me. I’d gladly rate five stars if this was fixed but alas it is unusable.

### 1/5 — Instrument Inclusivity

*2021-04-19, version 1.6.4*

I am a vocalist and I have used the app for a long time. However after updating, the instrument selection did not have “Voice (Treble Clef)” and I am not able to use this app anymore. Extremely disappointing, I loved this app.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-04-14, version 1.6.4*

I tried tuning my viola with this and it didn’t even recognize the note. I am a very skilled violist and LOVE my instruments but I would never EVER get this app

### 1/5 — too big

*2020-12-26, version 1.6.4*

when i try to select an instrument the screen is too big so i cant select my instrument. so i can’t use the app.

### 1/5 — Bugs ugh

*2020-11-10, version 1.6.4*

I’ve had it for a while but now probably when you fixed the bug on one iPhone I made a bug for another because it has its microphone on but its not working

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app and developer

*2026-01-07, version 1.7.1*

It is a simple app for beginners with a focus on utility. After writing about issues in a previous review the developer resolved those issues pretty quickly; from what I remember. I thank for the simplicity and for delivery of this app..

### 5/5 — Great for first learning and tuning notes

*2025-12-22, version 1.7.1*

This is so useful for knowing what note your playing when you first learn an instrument or a new scale. As well as tuning an instrument. But I find I don’t use it other wise, so if you are a beginner I definitely recommend this app to get started.

### 5/5 — really good app

*2025-11-29, version 1.7.1*

one of my favorite tuners! as someone who plays bass and trumpet it’s perfect for many instruments

### 5/5 — Goated app

*2025-10-31, version 1.7.1*

### 5/5 — Really helps!

*2025-01-17, version 1.7.1*

### 5/5 — App Not Working

*2024-08-01, version 1.7.1*

I’ve used this app for the past 2 years as a band director, and it’s been my saving GRACE!!! But now when I open the app, it’s just all black and will not come on. I need this app to work again, it’s so amazing!

### 5/5 — Does exactly what it claims to

*2024-04-14, version 1.7.1*

That’s it

### 5/5 — Insane App for Instrumental Tuning

*2024-03-18, version 1.7.1*

This app is so useful for any type of instrument's tuning. eg. Brass, String or Woodwind. I used to use this for my flute(AMAS), French Horn(ELMAS), Viola(AMEB L10) and Piano(AMEB L9). Incredible help to my latest musical achievements.

### 5/5 — Review (Also includes my teacher’s thoughts)

*2024-02-14, version 1.7.1*

So I thought that this app is great (I’m also writing this on behalf of my teacher) but there is a thing that my teacher said is missing. All that she was upset was this not being on other phone brands except for Apple, because she couldn’t find it anywhere else except on the IPhone. Other than that I loved it! It helped me so much on the clarinet.
