Just tried to login and despite going through all the rigmarole to ensure I had the right password (i.e. changing my password on the site specifically so I absolutely had to have the right password) I still couldn’t login ### 1/5 — Glitchy and Problematic *2024-09-03, version 1.0.6* This is a terrible app. A mostly blank panel pops up covering most of the screen every time I perform a search. Limited search functionality. Waste of money. I paid for one month of premium and will contact everyone in my area then not renew and delete app. Also, way too many people with no audio samples and very vague profiles. Poorly designed, not well thought out and dreadful execution. App is on version 1.0.6 and hasn’t been updated in 2 years at the time of writing this review. ### 1/5 — Charged for service *2024-08-13, version 1.0.6* I did not sign up for a subscription but merely paid a one-time fee to have one of my songs “remastered.” A $10 waste of money but worse - they fraudulently signed me up for a one-year paid membership at that same time. I did not notice until this year (today) when they charged me $100 for a renewal. I can freely make an account and browse through musicians in my area, but the moment i actually want to contact anyone I have to buy a premium account??? might as well make the app paid. ### 2/5 — extremely buggy. just use the website. *2024-02-16* It constantly crashes in the way that the entire page will shrink to the top of my screen, usually when I tap literally anything or go to search for something. It's especially bad when I go do an advanced search or view my profile. it makes it impossible to use, no matter how often I refresh it. It happens constantly. you can’t filter out your search without it shrinking. Even if you try to use it while it’s shrunken to the top of your screen, it will only shrink even more and it’s really stupid. I highly recommend just using the website, until the app gets fixed/debugged. I don’t know when that would be granted the several poor reviews and the fact that I’ve been using this app for a year and it’s just as bad as it was then. ### 2/5 — Messages *2024-01-17, version 1.0.6* I paid for membership but my messages don’t work. Or sometimes I can send only 3 messages in day ….. ### 1/5 — A scam *2023-12-08, version 1.0.6* Somehow they are able to get rid of bad reviews and are clearly populating it with planted, favorable reviews because this app/ service would otherwise have one star. It might just be broken? But being that it hasn’t been updated in two years who would know? It’s just that no musicians ever get back to you. Yes, I paid for the service and regret that I did. ### 1/5 — Buggy and useless *2023-11-08* One of my worst investments. Though it would be useful and spent my hard earned money on a 3 month subscription and got no responses from other local musicians to my inquiries. Also asked the support to suspend my account for a while and received no response from them. Surprise. The general consensus on the inter-webs is that this is not a wholly legit service and I’m beginning to agree. Only after signing up do I find out that I need to pay an even higher tier to see if people are reading my messages to them. People who have paid are saying people are not reading their messages which leads one to believe, like a lot of dating apps, many, if not most of the profiles, are fake or defunct. ### 1/5 — What a racket *2023-09-06* At first Bandmix sounded like a good idea and I stupidly paid up before looking into it more. The general consensus on the inter-webs is that this is not a wholly legit service and I’m beginning to agree. Firstly, there is a disproportionate amount of musicians from small, rural communities versus the core of the urban center, especially from one that was virtually wiped off the face of the map by forest fires a few years ago. Only after signing up do I find out that I need to pay an even higher tier to see if people are reading my messages to them. People who have paid are saying people are not reading their messages which leads one to believe, like a lot of dating apps, many, if not most of the profiles, are fake or defunct. ### 1/5 — $12 a month for this garbage app. *2023-05-15, version 1.0.6* It’s a website wrapped in a window decoration. These people that take $12 a month should be putting some more money toward developing a mobile app that isn’t garbage. ### 1/5 — Same old same old *2023-05-04, version 1.0.6* Nothing changes in this app. Same musicians looking musicians for years. You can get a better location search too you don’t always have to restart. UI is buggy and intentionally designed to MISLEAD you into thinking the "service" is usable without a subscription, but it is NOT. Upon regrettably signing up for this scam with my email address, I have received nearly DAILY SPAM EMAILS, begging me to buy a subscription. THESE EMAILS DO NOT STOP IF YOU ATTEMPT TO UNSUBSCRIBE. THIS APP IS A SCAM AND WILL RELENTLESSLY BOMBARD YOU WITH SPAM MARKETING!!! PLEASE USE VAMPR OR CRAIGSLIST ALTERNATIVELY.
