Four digit codes are easily broken because the number of combinations is small, even though you will have systems to track invalid attempts. I can alternatively (no PIN number required) use Face ID which is more personalised but if I am mugged, the mugger only needs to place the phone in front of me to steal my money in a manner that is hard to contest without eye witnesses to the assault. You MUST implement two factor identification for activation of the app. You can still use Face ID which is convenient but you should ALSO have a code required, and make it six digits. It is a simple measure that your customers will embrace, knowing that it is more secure, especially if the real risks are pointed out.
