It would have taken less time much less frustration and I would still have the joy and excitement I was feeling prior to my Bank Shot experience. And to top it all off not very confident it was successful even though the app said it was. Seems like it could be a great concept but needs a lot of work. Ugh!!! ### 1/5 — Blank fields error but no blank fields *2021-04-17* We were instructed by our realtor to use this app, but when signing up we received an error message that fields could not be blank. They weren’t. Filled in the form again; same error message. Killed the app, tried multiple more times with same result each time. Downloaded app on another device, same result. Infuriating when up against a deadline. And I’m meant to trust this app with my financial data?! ### 1/5 — This app is worthless *2021-04-15* We were directed to use this app for the transfer of funds for a real estate closing. After multiple attempts of the app freezing, we had to abandon it and overnight a check. This resulted in the title agent calling and berating me over not getting the funds to her in time. This app should be taken down until the problems are fixed. ### 1/5 — Trust-confidence rating = 0.05% *2021-02-17, version 3.5.1* The UX of this app is an abject failure from first customer touchpoint, which gives me precisely 0.05% confidence that my PII and financial data will be safe within this app's datastore. Core fundamentals like integration of keyboard functionality, password protocols, or even making sure you’re not flagging false-errors are completely absent. It’s 2021. If your dev team can’t correctly code and test basic functionality for things like a signup form, then don’t waste everyone’s time publishing an app in the first place. And before you dismiss this rant as “yeah but he doesn’t know how hard it is to design and build a mobile app”... I’ve been a designer for nearly three decades, have been doing UX since it became “a thing” and have been designing mobile apps since the iPhone invented the concept. But my credentials shouldn’t matter. What SHOULD matter is that #crappyUX like this is the #1 reason customers abandon you. No customers, no revenue. No revenue, no company. ### 1/5 — Won’t let me create an account *2021-02-11, version 3.5.1* I can’t create an account and there is no customer contact. It’s not user friendly at all. ### 1/5 — Truly awful. *2020-07-21, version 3.5.1* Incredibly frustrating. I may have to go to the trouble of wiring our earnest money since we can’t get the app to work. Not great during a pandemic. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t even work on iOS *2020-06-27, version 3.5.1* After the login screen it’s just a blank screen that only lets me log out and nothing else. ### 1/5 — Awful customer journey *2019-12-23, version 3.5.1* 4 times later, no deposit and everyone is frustrated. Where to begin? Every aspect of the customer journey needs work. The auto capture on the camera makes it difficult to have the picture pass scrutiny. Every failure results in starting from scratch. I love how I have complete control of where the check goes after a client sends it to me. No more worrying about others accidentally depositing in the wrong account. Their customer service is great-I made an error, contacted Bank Shot and they immediately addressed my concern. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worthless. Stuck in error loop *2025-01-17* “There was a problem loading the configuration, please try again.” No explanation, no root-cause problem solving, no contact site, no customer service. Phone is fully updated to iOS 18.2.1, so there’s no excuse for this user experience. ### 1/5 — Title Agent *2024-04-01* Their customer support is very slow or not support at all. ### 1/5 — STAY AWAY *2023-12-01* If you want to keep your sanity, stay far away from this app. After 6 attempts of trying to deposit a check, we gave up. The first 4 attempts said the check could not be read. Then the last 2 said the orientation of the check was wrong and to rotate it… how can the orientation still be wrong after rotating it?! ### 1/5 — Check capture *2023-04-20* Check capture feature is very finicky. Camera shot has to be just right. Had to resubmit twice. It required all data to be RE-entered. You do not find out if it didn’t go through until later. ### 1/5 — avoid *2023-01-27* Do not use this app. waiting on customer support to answer regarding my earnest money payment yesterday that has yet to go through. Best to be safe when purchasing a home and just send a check if the app doesn’t work the way it is supposed to. I don’t even see anything pending in my bank account. No email confirmation that I sent a payment from bankshot. ### 1/5 — Is half working, half not … *2022-07-06* We tried to create an account and the wire an amount of money. Once we got to the next page it was all empty. How can such an app even be released to the public ??? ### 1/5 — Absolutely garbage *2021-10-29* Any title companies that use this app need to get their heads out of their behinds. It’s incredibly buggy, doesn’t allow you to upload images of your check instead they force you to use an image capture that will not focus or find the check, and the manual capture is improperly formatted so you can’t access the buttons. You also can’t save data. So if you start it you have to do all the information and check in one shot. Horrible app, whoever made it should take it down and go get a job involving hard physical labor that is nothing remotely related to technology and app design. ### 1/5 — Bad glitch *2021-10-18, version 3.5.1* Usually I don’t write a review but this app is so bad that I have to spend 1 minute to leave a review. The 1st menu to add an item for Earnest deposit has navigating issue. I can enter an address and choose the title company but then it gets stuck. There is no way to go to the next step. ### 1/5 — Unable to Use *2021-09-09, version 3.5.1* Cannot even set up an account. Continue to get a “Fields cannot be empty” error. Tried deleting, reloading, turning phone off and on. No joy. Sure would like to get this earnest money paid today! Pfft. ### 1/5 — Did no one bother testing this thing?! *2021-07-30, version 3.5.1* The app is hard to use, provides vague instructions, and has a number of bugs. Best of all, I just wrote a check for a significant amount of money…did the receiver get it? Did the request to send it even to through? I have no idea. There’s no form of receipt provided, no confirmation email. If I spend $6 at Panera, I get notified instantly. But a check for the down payment on a house, and I get zero form of confirmation.
