But if you need information like interest rates, or CDs, you won’t find it on this app. At least I couldn’t. I had to login to the bank site via an Internet browser. However, very frequently when I try to log in with facial recognition it fails to work and it causes me to change my password majority of the time. Also my new phone seems to have broke facial recognition. The app is presenting fingerprint auth (which isn’t an option on the iPhone 14). Photos should be confirmed before being able to move on. I will get check reissued but a simple safeguard like that would have been nice. It is not a good bank program they need someone who knows how to use a financial system to put it together. I figure it’s got bugs ### 2/5 — Serviceable... when it works. *2020-05-14, version 4.6.2.16* This Bankers Trust app will typically work for a month or so without issue, but then the problems start. Touch/Face ID settings are remembered but then don’t actually work to sign me in, even if I previously entered my login the last time. Once I do get signed in, I can see my balance, but any interaction with the app will then sign me back out or show an error message. Fixing this requires uninstalling and reinstalling the app, which I think I have done 5 or 6 times now over the past six months. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t See Credit Card - Late Payments *2026-05-10, version 6.0.0.15243* This bank has gone down hill since 2017, I used to work here and they have just never been able to get the app right, which is crazy because it’s not that hard to build a simple interface and plug in the API for their credit card, which is my problem. Multiple times in the last few years the credit card balance and payment due is just not available, you either have to dig for it or the app section just isn’t there. I requested paper statements, and just like the last new credit card to replace my expired card, they won’t mail it to my correct legal address on file, they keep mailing it to a 3yo address, it took MONTHS to get a new credit card. I’ve told them about it, they fix it once, then it reverts. Now I have a late payment, late fees, and a negative mark on my credit card that BTC will likely never fix. I’m just going to transfer my balance and stop using this card, it doesn’t even offer good perks, it’s just connected to my regular checking, which I’m about to change soon too. ### 1/5 — NOT GOOD since mid October 2025 *2025-11-07, version 6.0.0.11093* Basic and uncomfortable interface. I would change banks to get away from this app if I didn’t like the people in my home town bank. It barely works on iPad, and only portrait mode. Forget about TouchID log-in on your iPad, but remember the upper right ‘Continue’ link if you use it at all. Don’t expect info on much beyond your checking or savings accounts, you’ll need to go elsewhere to find mention of rates or CDs. I’ve been trying to get comfortable with this since mid-October. However, this app is so frustrating it makes me consider moving my money elsewhere. I have no idea how it gets such high ratings!? It will work great for a while and then it will do things like need to authenticate over and over. It kicks me out or shuts down for no reason. Closing the app doesn’t help.
