The bank itself is great but the app is trash. This bank continuously screws this app up and makes changes that make almost no sense and in some cases are even severely inconvenient to the user themself like being able to access other account info that is no longer retrievable. ### 1/5 — App *2023-12-15* I feel this bank should employ a new tech company to design and implement this app. It’s pure junk. Every time you try to log on it crashes. If you can’t get your app to work then how are we suppose to have confidence your online security is good? Fix this app. People should be able to access their bank accounts without having to call the actual bank or walk into one of your banks. Now I cannot even deposit checks through the app. I pulled $25k out of your bank last week. Once my CD matures $40k more is coming out. Then I’m paying off my mortgage and running away from hometown bank and closing all my accounts. You should be ashamed of not being able to get a basic online banking app working in 2023!! ### 2/5 — Patience needed when using this app *2023-08-14, version 23.2.2.1* The new app is frustrating to use. Once you get into the app, it’s okay. But it takes a handful of times to log into the app using Face ID. It always crashes at least a couple of times before you’re finally able to log in to the app. Then if you try to look at recent transactions or use zelle, it will say unexpected error and force you to log back in. Never had these issues until the new update was released. If the log in is fixed and the random crashes stop occurring, then the app is great! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Love hometown hate the app *2026-07-13, version 26.1.401.1* The best bank with the worst app. It’s 2026 I should be able to check my balance whenever but the app is constantly “under maintenance” which is just a cover. It always takes multiple attempts to login. If you can log in at all. It has been two days with at least 15 sign on attempts I can’t see anything on by account. I can get in one second then get booted go to log back in and it’s “under maintenance” or “having difficulty” ### 1/5 — App *2026-07-05, version 26.1.401.1* The app never works. It always say an unexpected error has occurred. Very nice people in person but the app is the worst! ### 1/5 — Banking like it’s 2009 *2025-01-13, version 24.9.201.1* You can login via FaceID but you’ll still need to go through the SMS verification process every single time you login. The app’s content also stays visible in the app switcher which is bad practice since the app contains sensitive information and does not require FaceID when switching back to the app. This is also not a native app but the mobile website in a downloadable package. My password and user name are correct and it says I need to call someone to help. They care so much abt keeping your baking information safe that they won’t even let the owner of the account in. It’s so frustrating. They also make you put in your phone number, to revive a texted code, just to log in even after you put in your username and password in. You also have to do it again if you want to transfer money. OBVIOUSLY ITS ME IF I KNOW MY PASSWORD, USERNAME, HAVE MY PHONE, AND IM GETTING THE CODE. I’m ready to switch banks solely on the fact the app won’t work. I should be able to access my accounts. And then once you are logged in to make a transaction it says an expected error occurred. Not once not twice,it happens all the time. So now the app kicks you out and have to login back in 5 times to go through the same issue over and over again. The app is Butt because of this reason! The app kicks you off, you can’t log in and the face recognition is an absolute joke. The app does a wonderful job allowing me to transfer money between accounts, and to others through Zelle!
